There was actually a big discussion here several years ago about that very thing, you might be able to dig around and find it. I remember there being some good discussion about materials/font/layout/etc.

Thanks for all the input folks!
I've played two games with friends since moving (both as player; haven't had a chance to ref yet), once with Skype and once using Google Hangouts. Both seemed to work just fine for our gaming style.
That Twiddla thing looks interesting! I'm running a game finally tomorrow night, I'll see if I can use it and let you all know what happens.

I've read through it, looks like a great adaptation of BoL to d20-based rules. I really like the demon generator!

Received mine today, they look great!
I see that modules 1-4 will go to the north of 5-8; do 1-4 sit immediately south of the original Carcosa map?

I should clarify a bit: I'm not looking to find new players, my group will be meeting at my friends' house as we've done for years and I'll be joining remotely. I'm just pondering on whether or not a virtual tabletop program will be useful for when I'm running games for them.

I'm moving from Missouri to North Dakota for work at the end of this week, which means leaving the folks I've gamed with for, in some cases, over a decade - one group as a player and another as Ref. Our plan is to continue having weekly games online, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips: does playing via a video program like Skype work well, or do you prefer some sort of "virtual tabletop" program like Roll20? I don't use minis for combats so I don't really need that function, but being able to show maps, illustrations and handouts through an online interface would be pretty cool.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Amazing stuff!
Will there be a way to order this in the future, after the Kickstarter orders have been filled? I'd pay good money just for this map...

Hex 1310 has a Green Ooze Pool that enslaves people!
One of the PCs in my last Carcosa game, a Bone-man Sorcerer, ended up with glowing bones, IIRC as a result of some random mutation (probably from a chart I pulled from gods know where). It was definitely entertaining!

Oooo---Yoon-Suin with BoL... You just got your peanut butter in my chocolate, and I LOVE YOU for it... It's been a great game so far, we're three sessions in and everyone is having a blast. Yoon-Suin's exotic decadence is the perfect place for the kind of two-fisted, swords-and-sorcery action that BoL encourages.

Currently running a Barbarians of Lemuria game using the excellent Yoon-Suin setting (seriously, that book is awesome). I also love me some Warhammer Fantasy RP.

I bought this last week, and have played through three times, trying out different paths. It's a lot of fun, especially if you're interested in a game that immerses you in Tsolyani culture. Definitely worth 2.99 in my opinion!

It's becoming quite clear to me from your replies that I wasn't exposed to nearly enough cool stuff as a kid; I've never seen any of this, and it all looks awesome! (Growing up in an evangelical household without TV probably didn't help). It was all Thundercats and Voltron for me. Now I want one of those Crystar figs...

Casting a Reanimate Thread spell here.
With regards to the other projection patterns, just how wide is the cone of a Ray? Is this like a "standard" D&D cone, spreading out to be as wide at the end of the range as it is long? (Or half width, can't remember). And what of emitters? Are they essentially an area of effect like a fireball?
I assume that pulse, beam and ray weapons are meant to be single-target, but I figured I would check. This came up in my Sunday night Carcosa game when I rolled up a Microwave Ray Rifle, and imagined mowing down an entire village with a single shot.

I will definitely have to check this out. The activation mechanic in Song of Blades and Heroes allows for a very basic sort of AI for enemy forces if you're playing solo, essentially rolling 1d3 to see how many activation dice each enemy figure will roll, then taking whatever actions make sense based on those results. I've done that a few times and had good results. Since I started D&D with 3.x, getting into OD&D is what got me into wargaming, rather than the other way around. And I'm very glad it did!

Yes, but not nearly as much as I would like. I've played Mage Knight (if you count that) and I love X-Wing. Song of Blades and Heroes is probably as close as I've gotten to more traditional wargames, but I really want to try SAGA sometime.
I'd throw together some proxies for Warmaster or Warhammer Ancients if I could find someone to play with. Unfortunately no one around here plays much tabletop except maybe Warmachine, if that.

If I can get the group together this weekend, I am going to give Tomb of Five Corners a whirl with these rules. If you do, let us know how it goes! The idea to do something similar is really growing on me.

I just grabbed it, and immediately thought of Exalted as well. I've played in the past and really enjoyed the premise and setting, but hate hate hate the system: attacks should not be a 10-step process!!!
It might be interesting to replace the standard ability score names with the five castes/aspects of various Exalts, and have the modifiers apply in the appropriate situations. Maybe you could allow a reroll or a bonus to represent Caste/favored abilities.

Yeah, I basically told the player that he knew it was in the Poisonous Swamps, and once he got there he could search for Landmark A, which would lead to Sign B, which would point the way. I picture it a lot like the instructions that Captain Kidd left in his coded message in Edgar Allan Poe's "The Gold Bug."
The astronomy/astrology idea is nifty though; that's going into a future location!
