They're really nice, but from the looks of it only the dragon can be purchased individually. The rest are in random booster packs so the only way to get exactly what you want is on the secondary market at inflated prices. That makes it a no for me, sadly.

Time for a bit of thread necromancy. Are copies of this still available? Not until we reprint it, no. Allan. So it goes; thank you for the reply. I'll keep an eye out for a reprint!

There’s nothing wrong with you. IMO WotC has crossed a line and will never get my business again, no matter what.

The series will always be a trilogy to me. Glad I didn’t even bother with this one. I have my trilogy box set, and I am happy.

I never got to play in any FLAILSNAILS games way back when, but it seems to me that agreeing on one system run completely RAW would be easiest. That plus a shared calendar and you’d have something awesome with very little work needed.

I would be if I didn’t already have a copy. 😄 But if you want to sell a copy of Lords of Tsamra for $12, on the other hand… I'm afraid that I don't have that one. It's currently available on Amazon for $183-$187, hence the joke. There was a time when it was $75 and I kind of regret not buying it. Prof. Barker's 3rd-5th novels are, unfortunately, rare and expensive.

I’m in for the print box set, but probably going to increase my pledge to make sure I get everything. I’m really enjoying the daily updates. I’m rereading the stories as well and having a blast.

That’s a really great idea. My new copy of the rules came in; I’m going to have to go through the spells and see what sort of distillation is possible!

I ran a DCC game several years ago and enjoyed it, gonzo-ness, weird dice, funnel and all. My main gripe at the time was that each spell having a unique effects chart made it difficult to introduce new spells that I found online or in other books, and eventually I went back to the 3LBBs and sold my DCC stuff.
However this Dying Earth kickstarter has piqued my interest so I backed it and actually ordered another copy of the rules. I started re-reading the Dying Earth stories as well and it's got me super excited. I may increase my pledge level so I get print copies of the adventures as well, but we'll see...

My username is elvish, though I can’t remember if it’s Sindarin or Quenya. It’s a play on Gandalf’s elvish moniker Mithrandir (grey pilgrim), but swapping gray for black (mor+randir) and dropping the extra R because I think it looks better. The inspiration was the “Dark Wanderer” that your character is chasing in Diablo II; I figure Black Wanderer is close enough.
My profile pic is a bust of Epicurus, one of my favorite philosophers, though I lean more towards Stoicism these days.

Sounds like everyone had a great time!
I have the binder version as well, and I'm doing the same thing you are (using the blank pages for notes). In the spirit of making it a "living" dungeon, I also think that I'll use those blank pages to either draw or print out sub-levels, or entire substitute levels for when I want to mix things up or throw players for a loop. I've got a series of restock tables slowing growing on the first few pages and ideas for recurring NPCs (examples include the Wandering Merchant and the Disco Wizard) who can be encountered on any level. Like Carcosa, this dungeon really fires the imagination!

My first game was around 1997, with a group of friends (I was in high school at the time) playing AD&D 2E. All I remember is that my character was a Thief and at some point in the evening, the party's Necromancer threw a fireball at a tavern we had just vacated.
Whatever else happened must have been a blast (heh), I was hooked and I've been playing ever since. Good times.

My wife and I use our spare bedroom as our library/office/study, and that's where I keep all my gaming books (in addition to our other books, of course). While ostensibly it's a room we both use, I spend far more time in here than she does - that's where I am right now - and the walls are decorated with prints of Conan, Karl Wagner's Kane, Death Dealer, and Darth Vader, in addition to maps of Jakalla and Dolmenwood and a case filled with miniatures. So it's more a de facto "man cave" than a de jure one, but it works for me!

I'm beginning to think maybe a lot of people haven't seen it. It's on Chirine's blog, and I've seen it on G+ a few times as well. After all the hullabaloo when photos of the first level of Greyhawk were posted (and all the analysis that came with it), I was really surprised when no one seemed to react the same way to Prof. Barker's map making its way online.
Of course, as awesome as the map is, it's the contents that makes it truly shine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Foundation is able to publish this masterpiece someday!

This pic of Gronan and Chirine ba Kal with the map of Jakalla's underworld has been floating around for a while, so I figured I'd post it here. If you zoom in you can get see pretty well. Enjoy! The link shown on the imgur page wouldn't display here, but by looking at the html source code for the page I found the jpg at i.imgur.com/cKInZrR.jpg ---Zenopus) Edit: thanks Zenopus for fixing the link!

It's so weird to see this, I was just looking at the map for Undermountain level 2 last night and thought it would make a great EPT style underworld! All the large columned rooms seemed like perfect underground temple complexes. Now I know why!

I saw that last week, it's awesome!
And now the title of your post has me imagining a mummified T-Rex as a random encounter in a Carcosa game. That will be interesting...

I'm pretty sure that one, if not more, of the OD&D based sci-fi games like Xplorers have scientist classes. That would be a good place to start. The mad scientist type definitely has a place in Carcosa, IMO.
