My first thought was, "Wow! That looks exactly like the map from B2, but expanded!" Then I read the description

I had to do a double take. In my old group, I had a player refer to my campaign as Mike World (my name is Mike, duh) and my old Hackmaster site was called Mikeeze Wurld which is a play on the official HM world, Gareeze Wurld.
This looks really cool from the preview.

Geoffrey, somehow I was able to download the preview. Then I tried to see if I could download the samples of your other works on the site, and I could without trouble (or purchase).

My philosophy for all three of the "Mike's" products is: A. It is NOT as though you are ordering through the mail, sight unseen. B. It IS as though you are standing in a game store, flipping through the books. Why? Because I want only happy customers. I want every single customer to be pleased that he purchased the book(s). With a free preview of every single page, there is no scope for someone to buy and then say, "Man, I was robbed." I definitely thank you for the heads-up, but I'm not too concerned about piracy. I doubt that I'm losing very many sales to pirates.

This looks really cool from the preview. It's good to see you here. Just yesterday I saw your post about PC hit points on the Troll Lords Games forums, and I wanted to tell you, "Hey! That's exactly how I do hp!" This: It's funny that we also share the "Mike's World" campaign world name. While my name isn't Mike, I note that it was the most common boy's name in the U. S. back in 1983. My little joke about the "Mike's" products is that I travelled back in time to 1983 and stole the dungeons and campaign world from Mike Wheeler (the DM for the D&D group in the TV series, Stranger Things).

My first thought was, "Wow! That looks exactly like the map from B2, but expanded!" Then I read the description And of course the wilderness map in B2 goes in the empty spot on the cover photo. I toyed with putting a toy model of a B-2 bomber there, but I (obviously!) didn't.

Lol, that is funny. I think wotc did the same thing with their Stranger Things D&D boxed set recently too. The dungeon in that is supposed to look like one he made.

geoffrey, purchased the PDF. Looking forward to reading through this. Thanks for continuing to build up this campaign world. (Any occult organization principal behind or underneath this one?) Fight on!

(Any occult organization principal behind or underneath this one?) You mean like how each of the 78 levels of Mike's Dungeons was influenced by one of the 78 cards in the Thoth Tarot deck? If so, no. There is no such underlying scheme in Mike's World.

Thanks to Gabor Lux ("Melan") for putting all 14 of Mike's wilderness maps together with B2's wilderness map:

I'll have to get this! Brings back memories of doing exactly the same thing back then, adding sheets of squared paper around the edges of the B2 map. 😁

I'm so late to the party, I might be early for the next one....
Geoffrey, I just discovered this!! It is amazing. I've been gearing up for a "Stonehell on the Borderlands" campaign (where the box canyon of the Caves of Chaos become the Stonehell box canyon), and Now you've given me a wilderness setting for my players to enjoy as well!!!!
I looked at your all-free preview, and I'll be downloading this today!!!

Ditto. Earlier today, I was planning ahead for my eventual sandbox game using Iron Falcon, and had a thought about whether anyone had ever expanded on the sandbox from B2. Then I see this. Perfect.

I've so wanted to run a campaign using Iron Falcon or Greybook, or just compile a house document for OD&D +Greyhawk! Unfortunately, my group enjoys B/X (OSE) and since they are 95% the same in the rules (except character creation is much more robust in OD&D + Greyhawk) my group would probably end up struggling to remember the DIFFERENCES between Iron Falcon/Greybook and standard B/X.....

Mike's World is B/X as breathed through OD&D and Supplement I: GREYHAWK and Holmes and the AD&D Monster Manual. If that makes sense...

That's basically 3lbb + Greyhawk.

Apropos of not much, I'd love to see a 78-level dungeon for Carcosa. Maybe beneath the ruins of one of the old Snake-Men cities?
