He posted terse message on his public company facebook page and as an update on his Appendix N Kickstarter. And to reiterate Cameron's main point, it's all kinds of heartbreaking.

You could also use technology of the Great Race or the Primordial Ones as a means to get home. The challenge would be understanding on the thing works and how to operate it to escape Carcosa.

Thanks guys. I think I linked it here a while ago, but maybe i'm imagining that. I'll probably work on it again in the near future. I want grow how it generates random weird encounters.

I'm waiting on a box too. I don't think it's a scam, since some people have gotten theirs. I had read online he was down to his last 40 boxes. Clearly he isn't that good at estimating how long things should take to get done.

Great post. Nice to see this outlined neatly in one place. (You might want to add an FAQ or some such thing to the immersive ink website.)

I haven't gone through the draft in any detail, but there are a couple poor layout choices you might want to change. Setting text fully justified without hyphenation looks pretty amateur, and hinders readability. For example: cl.ly/NwRg and cl.ly/NwHX. You should probably also increase the leading, so blocks of text don't look so cramped.

Plain text is the best text. Thanks. You also might want to look into styling things lightly with Markdown. It's easy to convert them to HTML then. (For example, here are Philotomy's Musings in plain text and as html. If you need a hand let me know.

Do you guys have any plans to release the rules in some editable format—Word Doc, RTF, Plaintext, etc.—so that people can make house rule documents the way people do using the S&W WhiteBox rules. It would be good.

I emailed him. I didn't think to check his profile here. All is well in the world. I plan to update that page a little bit more. Right now you can link to each paragraph (double tap shift to turn that on).

I tried joining, but haven't had my account OK'd. If you are in touch can you ask if he is cool with me putting writing back online. I have it up over here right now: Philotomy's Musings

This is probably the worst performing Kickstarter i've backed in terms of communication from the creator and how late it is.

I've put this back online as plain text over on Github I pulled the text from the PDF, which is the only way to read this stuff right now. It seems like a shame it's in such an inaccessible format. I might make a web page for all of this writing again. Is anyone in touch with Jason / Philtomy. Back in 2009 he didn't seem too bothered with people republishing his work so long as he was credited, but it'd be good to confirm.

The differences between Delving Deeper, SW: White Box, Original D&D are pretty subtle. Is anyone going to pick up an for one edition and be stuck because they can't figure out how to play it? Am I missing something here?
(Though I'd love to see a: this is what's different between X and Y just to know what changes were made.)

John used the v1 rules to make his 5 booklets, so i'm guessing it would apply to both. Though the page numbers won't match up.

Are you going to publish the immersive ink versions of the rules as print on demand books? (Or do a good old fashioned print-run?)

I'm guessing there is a happy medium between overly verbose WotC / TSR modules and what you just posted.

I'm not sure about the Halfling/Dwarf saves in Mentzer (I don't have my copy at hand), but on that score there was a change from Moldvay's Basic to Cook's Expert. In Moldvay, the saves are Death Ray/Poison: 10, Magic Wands: 11, Paralysis/Turn to Stone: 12, Dragon Breath: 13, Rods/Staves/Spells: 14 (B26). In Cook, these are improved to Death Ray/Poison: 8, Magic Wands: 9, Paralysis/Turn to Stone: 10, Dragon Breath: 13, Rods/Staves/Spells: 12 (X24). Interesting. Thanks for the extra info. At some point i'm going to improve how you navigate the site, and add an about page. I'll try and include the assumptions the generator makes there, and comment on little changes like this that people have noticed between editions.

Any chance later on of support for rolling higher level characters? Honestly, I think it's pretty unlikely i'll work on a higher level version of this thing. It's reasonably simple right now because it doesn't need to think about what happens when players are Level 2 or Level 5. I think the differences between editions are more noticeable beyond level 1.
