I have an original TSR Top Secret box that's mostly complete (I think) as I've never played it, but bought it used (no dice). I also have the James Bond 007 box set and at least one Top Secret SI book. If anybody's interested in more info or making an offer, just PM me!

I've run three short campaigns for Star Wars. The first two were WEG. The last and most successful campaign used Savage Worlds. I used WEG, D20, and Saga books for background material. There are also several good conversions on the Savage Heroes site that I plundered for stats. I used a few of the old WEG advenutres, and had to do some heavy editing. They are extremely railroady (new word). Arcadayn, et. al. FWIW, my favorite contemporary RPG systems are SavageWorlds and d6. For my personal use, I've taken the Savage Words conversions for Star Wars freely available and "Lulu-tized" them in a 6x9 one volume. It's a direct-link only publication. So, if anyone's interested.... You certainly can't beat the price, and there's a shopping code this month (09/2011) for 20% off and regular discounts if you watch the Lulu home page. Savage Star Wars Conversion www.lulu.com/product/paperback/savage-worlds-star-wars/14937671Also I've compiled all the official OpenD6 material (all freely available and "open") into perfect bound paperback books. (I only use PDF's for reference, I prefer hard-copies for when the power goes out. ) These are all "multi-volume" compilations. See descriptions on site. OpenD6 Fantasy "Quartet" www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/opend6-fantasy-quartet/10316907OpenD6 Sci-Fi "Trilogy" www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/opend6-space-trilogy/10242421OpenD6 Adventure/Generic "Trilogy" www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/opend6-adventure-trilogy/10242587Enjoy! I've used both in my games, though only recently began using a caller idea. Especially since our games can often include pre-teens, teens, and adults I stress the "team" mentality and make them discuss beforehand their declared actions, etc. I'm not hard and fast with this, and bring it back to the individual players during combat rounds. It seems to really bring the players together a lot more and helps the younger ones learn better "group think." I also have a lot less confusion at the table without people talking over one another.
So far, everybody, players and myself find the caller system works better for *us* As always, mileage may vary!
Remember, of course, I'm a professional development trainer. Those two spheres constantly overlap for me!

I should be getting you my 3 characters "Tar, Lotar, and Notar" very soon. Just getting back and clearing up from being out of town. I'll try to get them before tonight but I've got a crazy honey-do list!

I'm good with somebody creating my character, no preference. (That's part of the fun!) [edit to add...] oh, and I have PDF and hard-copy of the 1st ed rules!

I'm much the same as others. I've got a busy life and use the adventure modules as tools to supplement our games. Some i've never played, but just enjoy reading for the ideas and inspiration.

Glad to hear an update! I prepaid for one of the prereleases a month or so ago and had been curious.... :-) I'd love to be able to run demo games at a small local game con in early November. :-)

I've been considering the same thing since reading H.G. Wells "Little Wars" a couple weeks ago. I'm also going to check out your recommendation, Rick!

AND I'm hoping/planning on running either an OD&D or a "newly released" Delving Deeper game at the small game con in Lemoyne in November. (and possibly running another "old school" game the next day.) I've been thinking of either Gangbusters or StarFrontiers.

Personally, while we're dreaming, I'd like to see WOTC open TSR's old IP catalogue to the public - including Star Frontiers, Boot Hill, etc. (I think Rick got Gangbusters back) and then they can go off and do whatever they want with their 4e and turn it into a card game or video game for all I care.
You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one....
