Some of it. There is still a bit I have yet to do so. I got distracted with a new job that kinda interfered with, well everything. I hope to get back on track in near future now that I am doing a different job. I do hope to get a game up and running maybe a month or two on G+.

It may be a matter of perception. I believe there were studies of some real world cultures who could see a vast range of shades of green that most other people would not register in their perception and other cultures who could not see other colors due to lack of them in their usual environment until long term exposure to outside stimulus. As linked in another Carcosa thread, there are actually two colors that our perceptions actually block out though some people can trick their brains into seeing them. An Earthling might see some other color (near where ever you put the fantastic colors in the spectrum). Over time they might need to make saving throws that if successful allows them to start registering these fantastic colors in their brain.

Probably not long due to the very rough life on Carcosa. I did adopt Crusssdaddy's suggestion from his blog about them being egg-layers in my home games, though it really has not come up in session though.

Other thoughts to consider: * The base metals of some of the coins are elements that one race might be vulnerable or resistant to if turned into a weapon. Making it more valuable to one tribe than another. * Groups in the same area would probably share similar trade items, even if they don't actively trade with each other, due to raiding of other settlements or imitation of their competitors. So you might see similar designed weapons/tools/armor in one area that you might not see elsewhere. Though the quality would differ greatly.

The Yellow Man eyes are not intended to look like Cthulhu. The illusion was created when the outer eye overlay was applied, as it covered the lower section.

Sure! That's what they are here for! Also definitely take a look at the stuff from the blogs I mentioned above. They have some great ways they have made the Carcosans unique in their game settings.

On the G+ Carcosa group and my website, I have offered a few ideas for even more ways to make the Carcosans a bit weirder. The blogs Barnie the Flumph & Save vs Total Party Kill have also done some excellent write ups on how they make the Carcosa races different in their games. So a few ideas: Different Colored Blood:To add some weird to the game, I gave each of the races different exotic colored blood in my campaign. * Black Men: Blood: Is the color of Oxidized Bismuth. * Blue Men: Blood: Looks like olive green tinted Mercury. * Bone Men: Blood: Looks like a clear Aquamarine color outside the body. * Brown Men: Blood: Looks like bright yellow-Green. (Like "The Predator".) * Dolm Men: Blood: Looks like Brazilian Opal. * Green Men: Blood: Looks like metallic purple. * Jale Men: Blood: Has the color of brightly polished brass. * Orange Men: Blood: Is a metallic turquise color. * Purple Men: Blood: Is an orange tinted gold color. * Red Men: Blood: Is a semi-transparent amber color. * Ulfire Men: Blood: Is a neon brown color (Your brain hurt yet?) * White Men: Blood: Is an oily black color. * Yellow Men: Blood: Is a gunmetal blue color. Weird Looking Eyes:Finished drawing these up this morning.

There are so many modifications it will essentially be a new system, though any rules I don't change will probably default back to LOTFP, since most the people I game with on G+ use that. Though it is my hope that there will be plenty there for players of OD&D (and other editions) to mine for ideas.

Thanks guys! * Most the character classes are still a mess. I threw a bunch of data from the character creator program mixed with character progression notes onto the page and am slowly editing out the bits of python code and making it more presentable. * Races is mostly incomplete and/or messy. Trying to get around to updating that section. Though the Rogue Robot class is 95% updated. * The majority of the list of Sorcery spells/rituals will be incomplete, though should be enough info in most cases to know what it is intended to do.
* The Star Islands come from an old GURPS space/Cthulhupunk mashup game I ran back in the early 2000s. Carcosa & the Yellow King played a huge part in that campaign. Other than the city of Lost Carcosa, the characters never explored the rest of the world. When I discovered Jeffrey's Carcosa, it fit perfectly into my existing campaign, and explained why so many alien ships were coming to Carcosa in the first place.

Hey everyone. It's been a while. So couple days ago a threw together a webpage for the G+ Carcosa game I will be running. Though my game won't be OD&D, it will have plenty of usable materials. I have also linked a number of other Carcosa related blogs/pages in the links section to make your search for Carcosa related items that much easier. The page is still in the works and there will be lots of blank areas until I get the information all added in over the next couple months. There are currently six of the HIGH resolution carcosa hex maps available. I still have to do some editing to the other 20 I have in the works. Hex Map pageIf anyone wants to contribute material or has a Carcosa related links that I have not currently added, feel free to let me know and I will try to get it added. Also would like input on map details/villages etc for the map sections I am developing. I have already asked some bloggers and G+ DMs who have done Carcosa games for permission to use some of their information on a number of hexes.

Just a quick update on some maps sections I have been working on. I post most of them over at the Carcosa community on G+, but as soon as I can find a suitable hosting site, I will upload the high resolution individual maps as I finish them, then link them here. At this time I am trying to focus on the North East corner of the Carcosa main map. (Each hex represents one 704 yard per hex/10 mile across hex being details out) Moderator note: Attachments deleted due to storage capacity. OK, thanks! If I can manage time to write some, I didn't want to go overboard on the descriptions.

What is the suggested word limit per ritual description? Are you looking for about the average sized description from the first book, or a little more/less?

I do need to do that. Part of the trick will be some that them, like in 0103 and 0104 the landscape has areas that are darker, which indicate higher elevations. 0103 for the badlands and 0104 to represent barren hills.

HEX: 0104 HEX: 2004 Moderator note: Attachments deleted due to storage capacity. Maps can be found here: sites.google.com/site/hyadianschismchaosincarcosa/home/-hex-mapsKey Features of Note in HEX: 2004 * The Weeping River * Labyrinth of Ur-Hazag * Valley of Broken Mechanisms * The Oasis of the Thorned God Many (but not all) of the canyons are sculpted in strange fashions. Some have statues/busts of ancient races. Some more recent ones have images of humans of some long gone age. Many creatures over time have left their mark on these rock walls. There may even be lost Sorcerous inscriptions hidden within. Many Sorcerers have scoured these canyons in search of such secrets. Various tribes of marauders live in cliff side caves and fight over the best salvage from the Valley of Broken Mechanisms. It is not uncommon to find these people dressed in armor made from salvaged machines and dead robot parts. This area has also naturally lured the attention of Mad Scientists and Cyborgs seeking new parts. Sometimes the Space Aliens abduct individuals from the Valley and return them as Cyborgs a few days later for unknown reasons. Many of these Cyborgs have become rulers of the cave settlements. The Weeping River is fed from underground rivers and springs. The Weeping River eventually flows out into the Oasis of the Thorned God. I wrote up the Thorned God about a month ago, but need to find the information...

The Bone Sorcerer as he will appear in the game session I am running after work this evening. Decided to upgrade his armor with a partial salvaged space suit and a Shub-Spawn bound to his club in the spirit of the Elric stories. (With demon bound weapons.) Inspiration for the space suit helmet/tube comes from "Strange Ascension" by Dubisch on DeviantART. Attachments:

I have not had Earth humans show up yet in my Carcosa games, but had players introduce characters from the Young Kingdoms of Elric/Stormbringer show up a few times in two different campaigns. Melnibonian and Pan-Tang characters really don't find much shocking about Carcosa, except probably the technology.

For me, I always imagine Ulfire as taking a bite out of a cream sickle, looking at the orange and white parts cross eyed through an old analog video image that had the gamma correction turned all the way up and being on some kind of hallucinogen while viewing that.

Someone should run a G+ session of "Christmas in Carcosa" as a goofy one shot. We have been talking about the "Christmas in Carcosa" theme over in the "Lost Carcosa" group on Facebook as well.
(I want to play Kreskregal the Jolly)

I already wanted the book Geoffrey. Now I am pondering how many sacrifices and of what type are needed in the ritual: "Raggi's Publication of Geoffrey's Most Holy Manuscript"?
