Gozer - "I can imagine a lot of wealth, I mean A LOT of wealth. Some gold up front will buy you my loyalty."
"As for the treasure between your legs, perhaps in due time!"

I can't say I'm averse to visiting an establishment called 'The Lusty Virgin'! Let's check it out.

Gozer left his rifle in Tent City, but wears his armor beneath a roughly fashioned poncho. He sizes up the Greenie against the wall, then waves to the bartender for a drink.

Gozer - "I'm for Tent City and a hot bath. Anyone else up for a trip to the Silver Pick this evening? Shake a couple miners hard enough, and maybe some rubies will fall out!"

Gozer: "Anything to do in this rathole? I'd like to clean up and then blow off some steam before figuring out how to make up that lost money."

Ported over from the last game, BEHOLD THE GLORY THAT IS GOZER!!! Character name: Gozer Class: Secret (until it is definitively revealed) Colour: Jale Background: City Dweller Alignment: Secret (until it is definitively revealed) Brief description/background: The same cruel God who cursed Gozer with a puny and fragile body also blessed him with pouty, sensuous looks and an ability to land on his feet that has seen him escape from slavers and find friends and companions far from home, amongst Men of different races. Though he struggles even to heft a crossbow to eye level, he knows where best to aim the pointy things it shoots. A cosmopolitan upbringing has also gifted him with faculty in a number of different languages, and abundant people skills. Strength: 4 Intelligence: 16 Wisdom: 6 Dexterity: 13 Constitution:4 Charisma: 15 Hit Dice: 1+0 (low CON makes it a wash) Armour Class: 9 Bonuses: +1 missile fire, -1 hp per HD Please give me something shooty! Gozer does not play well up close with the other children...

Did they ever get it right? In my copy of 'Eldritch Wizardry', it's listed as '% in Laie'! What printing do you have? My Eldritch Wizardry is a 9th printing (pdf), and it has % in Lair, so yes, they eventually got it right. (Unless they changed it for the pdf...) Mine is the "8th printing, April, 1979."

doc, more details please! Have you used any of the keyed encounters from the book? Have you gone off map? How are the players liking it compared to a more traditional campaign, especially with regard to the limited classes and weird dice mechanics?

Gozer continues his life saving efforts. 0hp? -3hp? It doesn't matter, he's a miracle of triage health care, CARCOSA's own Hawkeye Pierce! Using secret Jale techniques, blood flow is staunched, wounds are closed, and bones are mended.
Can I shoot something with my crossbow now?

Gozer quickly eyes Yashub and determines the bleeding can go another couple rounds before things get too serious - he'd like to drag him behind a boulder, but he knows his muscles aren't much help in moving heavy things... So he reloads and fires off another shot at Rashy whenever he can: Init = 24 invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2160282/To Hit/Damage = to hit 5 (4+1) for 3 dam. invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2160286/[OOC: I think the rashy Unman that I shot is supposed to have started with 6hp, and now has 3hp?]

Hands out in a non-threatening display: "The cut of my cloak matters less than the tint of my skin, which is jale and wicked to your eyes. I am Gozer, late a visitor to the fortress from which you journey, and later still cast out from it to find my own way in these harsh lands. Though you may curse my skin, stay your hand - I seek only company to share the dangers of travel to the East. I have a steady hand, and the bolts of my crossbow find their mark more oft than not - judge not the fight in me by the frailty of my body.
"May I travel with your party as far as our paths may take us together?"

Gozer sights the party coming toward him from afar. Travellers always welcome the safety of additional company, don't they? He waits by the trailside, in plain sight but well hooded, and waves at them.

Gozer, somewhat disappointed at the lack of ceremony that accompanied his ejection, digs a shallow shelter in the lee of a large creosote, just within site of the fortress. On the morn, he plans on heading east, to hopefully more civilized lands.

Angry glances and whispered conversations can mean only one thing - could be time to hit the road again. You never know what might set these savages off, and whatever these cards mean, the wrong one could prove fatal.
Gozer pulls up the hood of his robe and does his best to blend in with the nearest wall. He looks around carefully - any friendly faces out there?

I'm plenty old enough for and would prefer the 'R' version, but I notice a prior post of mine has been edited to remove a mild profanity, so maybe we're already going PG...

Many unique sights and sounds, but fragments are familiar and reminiscent of traditions far to the south, in the lands of Gozer's upbringing. It's been awhile since Gozer has enjoyed shelter and safety, so he concentrates on soaking up the atmosphere and fitting in with the Brown Nomads who have taken him in.
