Hey, Bert -
I forgot to ask a key question: In light of the two versions of Carcosa, are you planning on running things on a pure or sanitized rules set? (It won't affect the status of the game here on the boards, but I thought I might put in a warning somewhere if it was the pure version.)
Of course, the sanitized version is 98% pure anyway. ;D

Good question - I was going along the PG line as I assumed all the current players are 16+ without really thinking, but of course this may not be so...
Oi Player types! Any under 16's out there?

R or PG? - in the UK the PG means parental guidance and the R is general release, I think ( long time since I been to the pictures) - is R the US version of an 18 certificate over here then?
Anyway I am anticipating the game to touch on, sex, drugs and, if the party raid a flying saucer full of Grey musicians, rock and roll as well (just stay away from the laser light show) - oh and violence of course, lots of it.

I will be 37 in a few days, so I guess I'm abble to play in any kind of game. I do'nt need weird details, but wil welcome jokes about any subject.

I'm plenty old enough for and would prefer the 'R' version, but I notice a prior post of mine has been edited to remove a mild profanity, so maybe we're already going PG...

I do not know if this is the case with your post, but Proboards has a weird filter hat can change some words it deems offensive. The results can be pretty ludicrous, i.e. b-i-t-c-h translates to "pregnant dog". You can see this in action when previewing your post.

I too have the gloriously unsanitary and pure version of Carcosa, and expect nothing less than the full Carcosa experience

Say ... that's interesting. Here in the states it's a little different than in the UK, and I never thought about the possible difference in terminology! Indeed, R and PG are from my youth and I'm not 100% certain the movie industry uses those particular ratings anymore. You've pretty much figured it out, though. PG = Parential Guidance (which now is mostly PG-13 and implies it's okay for ages 13+). R = Restricted (which may have a new name now, but was designed to be okay for ages 17+) And when I was thinking about the maturity of the game, I wasn't thinking in terms of actual vocabulary (which is in fact edited by the profanity editor) as much as the content, such as the bloodshed content and other differences between the two Carcosa rules sets.
