This is very interesting! Nice work!
Does anyone have a link to Gary's Original pre-Greyhawk Thief class?

I handle them the same as any other attack. I've seen convincing argument as to why its easier to hit and harder to hit after a charge. So I take the middle ground. I've been using the Philotomy's "Movement in Combat" charts during my game and according to one of the charts, charging is double your normal movement per round. For example, a character who has a movement rate of 6", moves 20' per round (40' per round charge). Unfortunately, no additional rules are mentioned for charging. I currently allow characters' to double-move at a cost of sacrificing any other actions that round. I guess, my question is if you allow a double-move and an attack (charging), what's the downside or cost? I think the double-move is enough of an advantage, but there should be a balancing disadvantage. Perhaps a +2 penalty to AC during the round of the charge?

www.traditionalgaming.org is down. Someone brought it to my attention on August 17th and it has been down since. Does anyone have any info on when or if it will be back online?

Yes, but S&W Whitebox is suppose to clone the core 3 LBBs minus the supplements. If you going to list anything outside the core 3 LBBs, they should be listed as "optional house rules".
However, if you include Chainmail as part of OD&D core, I personally agree with Philotomy's view (from philotomy.com) that the Hobbit's "deadly accuracy with missiles" translates as a +1 to hit with slings.
Also, S&W Whitebox list this as: "Deadly Accuracy with Missiles: Halflings receive a +2 'to-hit' when firing missile weapons in combat." That's +2 with all missile weapons. To be true to Chainmail, the bonus should only be with slings or weapons involving "stones".

The rules are coming along nicely, but I'm still looking for something much closer to the original source material. I understand that due to legal reasons, some things must be different, but there are so many differences that it resembles more of a seriously house-ruled version of OD&D than a retro-clone.
Here are some of the discrepancies I've found: The racial abilities do not match the original source material at all. Also, the Halfling's "Deadly Accuracy with Missiles" has always been translated from Chainmail as +1, not +2. It has been +1 in almost every version of D&D and most other retro-clones. I would really prefer to see these re-written to be truer to the original material or listed as "Optional House Rules" or not listed at all as it is in the S&W Core Rules.
All weapons should be listed as 1d6 damage regardless to size. Again, bonuses and minuses could be listed as "Optional House Rules".
The XP system for the original source material is 100xp per Hit Dice.

Yeah, I've been trying to locate both Pete and Judy Kerestan. My Google-fu is strong, but haven't had any luck finding them so far. I started the Facebook group hoping to gain the attention of the current copyright holders or someone who is in contact with them.
I'd be more than willing to pay for a digital copy of the module and I'm sure there are plenty of others who feel the same.

Michael Curtis, author of The Dungeon Alphabet and Stonehell Dungeon, plans on running a Classic D&D / Labyrinth Lord (retro-clone of Classic D&D) campaign named The Eldritch Frontier. I have already signed up as a player along with another friend, but we are still looking for more players. Here's additional info from the game flyer: Veteran referee seeks to start up a classic “sandbox style” campaign of Dungeons & Dragons using the Basic D&D rules (a.k.a. B/X, “Red Box,” or Labyrinth Lord). Players will create 1st level adventurers beginning their careers on the edge of the Eldritch Frontier, a vast expanse of wilderness teeming with dungeons, monsters, treasure, and magic. The Eldritch Frontier is an old school D&D hex and dungeon crawl, and the players will be free to choose their own paths to fame, power, and riches—provided they’re lucky and smart enough to survive! The Eldritch Frontier will also turn back the clock on the history of D&D and present a “what if?” scenario of how the game might have developed if left solely in the hands of gamers. Although Basic D&D will be used as the rule set for the campaign, further material will be taken from periodicals and supplements dating from the early years of the hobby, as well as new additions created by the players and referee through actual play. Because of this, The Eldritch Frontier is best suited for those with open minds and laid-back attitudes. Rule lawyer-types might find themselves frustrated, but creative players will have the opportunity make an indelible mark on the campaign world and the referee’s house rules. Game sessions will be held at Brothers Grim on either a weekday evening or Sunday afternoons depending on player availability. Regular sessions of The Eldritch Frontier will start once three or more players have committed, with an eye on adding additional players as interest grows. The next meetup is this Sunday 2/21 @noon @Brother Grim Games (Selden, NY).Please RSVP at The Role-Playing Game Historical Society: www.meetup.com/TRPGHS/or you can email Michael Curtis at poleandrope[at]gmail[dot]com. Join the Old-School Renaissance!

The Role-Playing Game Historical Society is dedicated to bringing together role-players who share an interest in RPG titles that date back to the beginning of the hobby. It's primary purpose is to gather together gamers seeking to play "old school" or "classic" role-playing games and to create a renewed interest in those games and their various retro-clones. Anyone with a love of older role-playing games such as Original or Basic Dungeons & Dragons, Gamma World, Traveller, or Call of Cthulhu, and is looking to find old-school gamers to play with, might find what they're looking for in the Role-Playing Game Historical Society. Since I originally started with the Moldvay/Cook editions, I always had monsters save as Fighters/Fighting-man of equal level to hit dice. NPCs saving as their assigned class.

Hopefully he returns soon before he loses ranking and placement within the search engines. He's been #1 for the "od&d" term on Google for a long time and I would hate to see him drop off.
