Yeah, I THOUGHT about it... and I was like, "Awww, they seem like nice enough aliens!" But I guess you're right. Better to be sure, if possible.Shade uses his Sense Motive skill to determine the divine intentions of the Yaa Yaa brotherhood.

[Sense Motive 1d6=5]
Shade tries his best, but his telepathic abilities are outmatched by the awesome alien intellect. He cannot even begin to comprehend the motives of such an advanced creature.
[Sanity Check aka Save vs Spells 1d20 = 1... the horror!!!]
He suddenly realizes the utter insignificance of his short existence compared with the greatness of this being who has transcended time and space! Shade's desire increases to help this creature and learn what he can from it, for how else will he learn the secret knowledge to face the inevitable approaching doom of history?

**We must help them! We must save them!** Shade emotes, running from the tent to return with the pink Princess.
Once she is in place, he prompts her to project her hjealing spores into the air (making sure they will affect Yaa Yaa and not be blocked by the tent, of course).

How do the others feel about Shade's plan to return to camp and fetch the pink dinosaur to heal the wounded Yithian?

That was supposed to be an impulsive response to the insanity roll... Figured a fail of 1 warranted it.

[Well warranted!]
Shade (and whoever chooses to join him) returns to camp. All of the NPCs have recovered from their hangovers and the mood in camp is upbeat. The dinosaurs have been saddled up and are ready to travel.
Shade is fetching Princess plus which of the dinosaurs and NPCs?

If nobody else cares to join, then Shade, deep one, Andre, and princess.
If otherwise, pls chime in.

Back at the camp, the ulfire groom and his dolm bride are awake and enjoying a delicious champagne and cobra brunch. The Crone is at the head of the "table" (actually everyone is sitting cross-legged on the ground) and smacking her toothless gums around tender snake sweetbreads and marinated roe. The missing ulfire man, Quarry Brothers, and Dream Stalker all are present at the brunch, looking well-rested and especially wise.
Shade saddles up Andre and Princess (which one does he pilot, and which one the Deep One?) and naturally Dream Stalker will want to have a look at the wounded alien and be reunited with Breath, as will Fated's lingering ulfire men, with the exception of the groom, who has defected to the dolm village and has no intention of leaving his new wife!
Fated now has a henchman slot free and will have to be on the lookout for a suitable candidate... Shade can recruit 2 more (3 total) and Breath is maxed out at 4.
Once you reach 4th level and the rank of Hero (Banisher for the sorcerers), you'll be able to recruit and command troops on a larger unit scale...

Shade rides... Andre. As does the deep one.
He asks Dream Stalker to ride Princess.

Shade brings the pink heal-o-saurus around to the Yithiann dome tent while Dream Stalker preps the patient for the procedure. [4-in-6 healing check = 6!]
"Wait!" cries the wise bone chirurgeon as the spores begin to fly. "Stop the treatment!"
Just as some humans are allergic to penicillin, this Yithian is having a bad reaction to the dino-healing spores! Its skin begins to blister and steam, and while it does not feel pain, it is agitated by the visual symptoms.
"What is this primitive leechcraft?? Get this monster out of here! Leave us!" it rages. "Rrrraaaggghhh!" Its tentacles thrash helplessly in the traction harness.
You'd better go, claw-clicks Yithy Cee apologetically. When Yaa Yaa gets like this it takes a few days to calm down.

Shade shakes his head in bewilderment.
He communicates, **My apologies, great one. We were only trying to help!**
To Yithy Cee, he communicates, **We will return after we have retrieved the stone head we are seeking.**
Shade leads the party back to the main camp. Once there, he will prepare his things for departure to continue searching for the stone head.

Any loose ends to tie up with either the Yithians or the Dolm Earthlings before the dinosaur convoy continues its trek?

April 24
Farewells are said, and the party begins the ordeal of their first water crossing. The convoy is quite a sight: huge sauropods paddling across the channel towing rafts of equipment, the PCs and NPCs perched on top with their fingers on the trigger, and Shade’s 1-handed Deep One gliding effortlessly beneath the water, keeping watch against aquatic threats from below. The group attracts a flock of curious sea-birds who circle overhead, not quite sure what to make of the spectacle.
The crossing is [1d6] uneventful, and the party arrives at the opposite shore after dusk, just in time to make camp for the night. Watches are set [1d6] but prove unnecessary as the party makes it through the night unmolested.
April 25
Dawn comes and all are eager to resume the quest for the Big Stone Head. The morning is spent slogging through marshland. By afternoon the party has entered a dark and foreboding forest of obsidian-leafed trees, slime-dripping mushrooms, and mossy boulders. Several times the dinosaurs are forced to knock down trees (which they do easily) to create a wide enough path to travel through.
It is late in the day and almost time to think about setting up camp when [1d6] they come across the rotting corpse of a colossal 20’ centipede. How interesting...

Shade does not dismount, but moves Andre closer to the corpse to see if he can tell what killed it. He keeps a watchful eye out for anything that might already be feasting on the dead body.

[1d6]
Shade's caution is well-founded: the corpse's abdomen is gently writhing and pulsing, as though something is moving around within.

Shade shakes his head slowly in the negative.
**We should try to go around and leave whatever it is to its meal. Let's not get distracted from our goal of retrieving the stone head.**
Shade directs Andre to retreat and make a wide berth around the centipede corpse before continuing on their way.

Fated: "We have something to ignite the corpse?" The party carries 5 large casks (1 per brontosaurus) of highly-flammable whale oil.

**Well, we do have 5 large and highly flammable casks of whale oil...**

Fated: "As much as I like the idea of setting fire to casks of whale oil just to see how much jungle we could burn, probably going around is the better idea."

The party wisely skirts the random encounter and continues north through the creepy forest.
April 26
The dinosaur convoy treks north toward where the peninsula narrows to a narrow strip of land. [1d6] The party crosses the neck without incident and reaches the mainland. Rocky hills rise from the sand dunes a day's march to the north. Off shore to your west there is a small wooded island an short swim away. The logical path to the Head is to go north, then turn west across the sands and then follow the chain of islands. There are a few hours of daylight left enough to reach the northern edge of the forest by nightfall, or alternately check out the island.
[apologies for not posting an updated map; it's on my other computer... but you can picture where you are, yes?]

Although the island sounds like a nice break (and pirates always bury their treasure on islands, right), Shade thinks we should try to make our way to the stone head as fast as we can. Stay the course!

You exit the forest by nightfall and camp on the beach. There is a tall column of smoke on the horizon about 6 hexes to the west, and the fire is still burning strong the next morning after [1d6] an uneventful night.
April 27
The convoy makes great time over the rolling sand dunes but visibility is hampered a dense fog. Rod Quarry wisely consults his compass and keeps the party moving due west.
The cold clinging fog is so thick that the brontosaurus riders can't even see the snouts of their own dinosaurs, and the party is [1d6] completely surprised and blunders into the ambush of [2d100] 69 brown cannibals!!! They are Armored Foot, clad in suits of enormous seashells and brandishing long skewering pikes! The pike shafts bear the crab coat-of-arms of the Constant Tyrant.
The brown men attack in a pincers formation from north and south simultaneously. They charge in the disciplined tight formation of experienced pikesmen, but their faces are slavering with mindless hunger for man-flesh!
Here they come! Time to rally the dinosaurs and troops into formation to meet the two-pronged charge.

During the trip Minion has mastered the third and final ritual in the Accursed Tome:
The Accursed Sounding of the Void, a four-hour ritual of Invoking that attempts to contact the inhuman intelligences that brood in the deepest intergalactic gulfs. This ritual is unusual in that the sacrifices (an Ulfire boy and girl) are not put to death and can be reused. The material component is a set of black opal torture implements worth 10,000 sp.

Breath holds position upon Junior, to see the result of Andre's breath attack. She, Blasphemous Blade and Devil Maw will fire their howdah guns at any nearby brown men.
Dream Stalker readies the glitter bazooka, and will fire upon any large grouping of brown men who are not too close to any of her allies (she targets the furthest group she can). Serpent's Scion will fire her Howdah gun at the nearest brown man.
