Your favorite color is ochre? C'mon, peridot is so much nicer! ;D It didn't ask for my FAVOURITE colour... just a colour. My favourite colours ARE among the greens, though. I do like a nice peridot joke (at your next gem and mineral show, look at a pendant with a peridot teardrop stone (that seems to be en vogue these days) in it and ask, "Is that a peridot? OR JUST ONE?" hahaha... er... the dealers never laugh, tbhwy.) When it comes to clothing, though, olive green is one I tend to wear quite often. I used to have a pair of Abercrombie slacks (from like 20 years ago, when they used to make really good clothes) that were olive green and nice and baggy and super soft twill. I wore the cr*p out of those pants. My wife made me throw them away a few years ago (I got 15 years of wear out of them) when they were finally just too worn to wear anymore. It was a sad day... And, yes, Cameron, stop lurking and join us! Come on, this is some weird sh!t, man. Lots of fun!

Fated looks askance at the Brown 'nibals. He motions Snarf to get ready for some food on the hoof... To the others: "Are we ure-say we ant-way to eep-kay these owns-clay?" Will Snarf eat: A) dead cannnibal B) Junior C) trail rations D) none/all of the above...

Breath gets the tie-breaking vote whether to eat or recruit the brown cannibals...

Welcome, Cameron!

Now there is the question of which dinosaur will be the new steed for Breath and her bone women? There is also the delicate subject of the bone-cursed dinosaur's remains. What happens to a bone-creature's transparent flesh when it dies? Also Junior wears heavy barding that may be fitted to another dinosaur if you wish. Breath will switch to the roughly-equivalent Little Brother. Junior's barding can be carried by Big Mama as a spare. As to Junior himself, I suggest we all have a big dino-meat feast! The dinos are of animal intelligence, and won't mind? (Also, I think we decided that blood/wounds show on Bone-Men, and that upon death the flesh becomes visible???) Breath gets the tie-breaking vote whether to eat or recruit the brown cannibals... Recruit! We always need more fodder, and we can make better use out of our slain.

May I suggest butchering the carcass where it lies, gathering firewood, making camp for the night, setting NPC's on guard duty, and leveling up?

Fated sets Snarf loose on a dead cannibal. He throws a mad dog look at the captured ones and gives them the two-fingers-to-the-throat-sign, like Viggo Mortensen in Eastern Promises and then stalks away to eat some rations and prep for sack time.

Is there a physical resemblance between Viggo and Fated to Die? If not Mortensen then which actor would you choose to play him in the movie adaptation of Chainmail Carcosa?

What are the living arrangements for the new recruits? Will they join your camp or sleep apart? Will you assimilate them to your diet and meals, or leave them to "forage" to their own dietary preferences? What about sanitation, recreation, fraternization, other non-combat work duties? Will you permit your henchmen and other NPC's to socialize with them? What is their place in the marching order and default deployment in a fight? [hint: wall of pikes between party and the enemy]

Egads... there is a REASON why I've never gone for that management position at work.
Hopefully the Fine Brown Cannibals will stay in line, at least for a while. Shade would hate to reduce the number even lower than 8. Of course, he will, if it becomes necessary.
Assuming Sgt. Cannibal accepts his offer, he will direct the Sgt. to maintain control over FBC. They should not be ostracized by the rest of the party. They should understand (and have been told) to NOT eat anyone else of the party, alive or dead. Failure to comply will result in death. And the tasty parts of that soldier will be destroyed in front of the others, so they understand it does not benefit them to have another member of the FBC killed.
If they want to partake in normal eating habits, they can sup with the rest of the group. When they are cannibalizing, they'll need to do so at a slight distance from the others. Only four of the eight can go out at a time. This will be mandatory until they earn Shade's trust.
During non-combat periods, they will share in menial tasks that others in the camp must participate in, as well.
In combat, they are the front line (at least in front of Shade and Andre). Shade will send them into battle with the battle charge, "Kill first, eat later!"
Shade is absolutely in agreement with making camp, eating the dead dino, and leveling up.
Can he get an update on the Deep One Minion's current level of happiness with his master? Happy? Still put out? Shade attempts a Sense Motive on him to see what he can find out (after he is rested and leveled up and has a better chance of success).

Great work ehiker, would you mind copy & pasting the relevant bits over to the new Episode 17 thread I've created? Your Deep One will have the opportunity to prove his loyalty (or lack thereof) this evening!!

... Is there... some other thread?
The only new one I see is called "Night Of Terror". Obviously that isn't our leveling up thread.

THIS IS CARCOSAAAAA!!!! (edit) also I think an Interlude will be a good way to introduce a new character. You're saying it wrong. It's "CAR-co-SA"! (... my wife hates it when I take movie lines and suit them to my needs. Thus you all must suffer.) And no worries; I was just kidding. Who wants to play a boring game, anyway, right? Can I pick an actor, too??? How about Richard Kiel for Shade? He'd still have to have lots of make-up, though...

Fated = John Cazale... really? I always pictured him with more leading-man looks. (no offense) Shade = Richard Kiel YES! Breath... is going to be hard casting a 5' transparent bodybuilder, I think she's going to have to be CG... but who will provide her voice and don the motion capture suit for the green screen work?
