Frustrated with his last attempt, The Shadow bellows in rage once again and continues swinging his flail at the white men.

ROUND THREE
The Shadow has regained his hearing. Everybody can see & hear now.
Initiative is rolled: PCs 6, White Men 1.
The Sovereign Mask of All Who See rolls a 6+1=7 and flattens a White Man, leaving 4 standing.
The Shadow is next to act. He rolls 3+1=4 and now there are 3 of the enemy.
Thaimos courageously flails away (3+1=4) and 2 White Men remain.
The Eye of Thundera (4+1=5) cleaves the penultimate White Man!
Thug Slave tries to be a hero and finish the job (3) but fails to connect with his attack.
The last standing White Man grapples with Thug Slave but (4) Thug Slave keeps him at arm's length, unable to sink his teeth in.
MEANWHILE
Fated to Die and Pack Slave open the first locker. It is full of clothing similar to that worn by the White Men (but a little less dirty) and hanging on the back wall is a poster of a scantily-clad Green Woman.

With the Shadow's hearing returned, he shouts, "Let's finish this! I saw several forms leaving as my vision returned. They will be next!"
With that, he swings his flail at the remaining white man.

THE EYE OF THUNDERA attacks the last white man.
"We must take this one down quickly and then head after the foreman and the others!"

Fated to Die takes the poster, carefully folds it, and tucks it into his jumpsuit.
"Come Slave, tarry not... these spoils shall wait, let us rejoin the others."
They exit the control room to see what's going on outside. Fated considers the nearest dead White Man and motions the slave to check its clothing for treasure.

Fated to Die takes the poster, carefully folds it, and tucks it into his jumpsuit. Fated removes the poster and... what is this? Behind is a crude opening, roughly hewn into the wall! Perhaps a slender, unarmored man could squeeze through. It is dark within.

Servitor of the Yellow Sign swings his tulwar again at any nearby foes [not sure if I was carried further down the tunnel, or if I'm in the same place where only a single white man remains.] "Do not flee! Your time has come!"

The Sovereign Mask of All Who See attempts to to use his flail to wrap around the neck one of the remaining white men and take him hostage. Thaimos will help restrain him, as well, by holding an arm, grabbing his legs, etc.

ROUND FOUR Initiative: PCs 3, White Man 6 The last standing White Man takes a bite at Thug Slave but misses (4). Thaimos and Sovereign Mask (3+1=4, 5+1=6) are easily able to tackle the White Man and pin him to the ground so that he cannot bite anyone. Some of you wish to pursue the escaped foe down the dark tunnel to the east. Those who are interested, please provide me with a marching order. Also take your light source and movement rate (leather 12", chain 9", plate 6") into consideration as you plan your action. Vito, please let me know whether the Mirthful Doomed will continue alone in direct pursuit, or stop and regroup with the rest of the party. Nice fighting guys, you did it!

The Mirthful Doomed returns to his party. "Everybody alright?" he asks. "Does anybody have a decent weapon they can spare? This stick just isn't getting the job done."

Looking around at the other people from his recent dream, Servitor of the Yellow Sign asks "Who were they? What did they want? I couldn't hear all of it."

Fated to Die pokes his head out of the control room.
"Slave, you bore my vengeance well and struck down my enemies. You will be rewarded... now return to my side."
To everyone: "Ladies, gentlemen... there is much of interest in this room. Draw a knife across that white beast's throat and join me within."

Thaimos, still shaking from the combat, addresses Fated to Die:
"Wait, please. I have things I wish to know from this one," he says, indicating the now-restrained White Man.
He turns to Servitor of the Yellow Sign, and tells the story: "We were attacked by something called 'The Foreman.' He masqueraded as an official maintaining the tunnel, but attacked when we questioned his credentials. He may have been like us at one time, but no longer. He fled that way" and he indicates the darkened tunnel.
"With the thing that first attacked us, and the Foreman down there as well, it seems like the most perilous path to take."

I bow sharply to Thaimos, saying "I am Servitor of The Yellow Sign. This room intrigues me. What has been discovered about it?"

"Does anyone have any rope to tie him up with?" asks the Sovereign Mask of All Who See? THE EYE OF THUNDERA replies, "I do," and ties up the white man. "Cooperate and you may survive. Who is that Green man, and what does he want the Bone woman for?" In white man he adds, " Answer quickly and truthfully."

The captive White Man responds to your questions with an unintelligible "BLLEEAARRRGHH! GRUUP! MAAAAWWW!"
He thrashes and strains against the rope while his eyes follow you with an unblinking stare and his blackened teeth gnash hungrily. Clearly whatever ordeal he has endured in these tunnels has stripped away any vestige of humanity.
Mirthful Doomed, you notice a sharp glaive lying on the ground; Breath of New Moon must have dropped it as she was dragged away. It is a superior weapon to your club and its previous owner is presumably never going to need it again.
MEANWHILE
Breath of New Moon awakens (back up to 1 hit point) in the darkness. You are completely mummified in some sort of fabric material; it is flexible but strong enough to hold your weakened body quite helpless. You hear shuffling and grunting sounds nearby.

Breath of New Moon can do naught but wait and hope that an opportunity for escape will present itself before she (with appreciable probability) ends up as lunch, either for the White Men or for whatever abomination they might serve. For the moment, she continues to lie still.

"Quiet you," the Purple Man shouts, "stop thrashing or I'll have your eye." If the white man doesn't stop his fits of rage, the Sovereign Mask of All Who See will rip out the White Man's eye with his bare hand. If the White Man stops his cries, the Purple Man will ask, calmly, "So how did you come to be here."

"We need to be off to find the bone woman if we want to get her back alive." The Shadow of the Evermore looks down at the white man and studies him for a moment. "This thing is raving mad. He is of no use to us. Kill him and let's be on our way. We'll need some light sources. We need to move now."
That said, The Shadow of the Evermore looks for something that can be fashioned into a torch. If necessary, he'll rummage through the first class car for appropriate materials, but he'll search the storage room first.

Fated to Die: "That is not a White Man, that is a white beast... its littermates have stolen the woman. Kill it without delay. I will not chase such things into their lair, to retrieve only a gnawed corpse in all likelihood. The Foreman awaits there as well, eager to ambush pursuers. If you insist on rushing into that unknown, I will lend you my thug slave and that is all."
"This control room holds many wonders, all leading to more profit than contending with poisonous fiends who have lost their souls. Let us take a few moments to clear our heads and search this room... there may be more weapons and armor within."

"Quiet you," the Purple Man shouts, "stop thrashing or I'll have your eye." If the white man doesn't stop his fits of rage, the Sovereign Mask of All Who See will rip out the White Man's eye with his bare hand. You plunge your fingers into the White Man's face and tear the eye from its socket! His flesh is cool and crumbly to the touch, like a horrible fungus, and no blood spurts from the wound. The creature snaps ineffectively (2) at your hand and doesn't seem to notice the loss of its eye at all. MEANWHILE A search of the control room finds a dozen helmets with headlamps similar to that worn by the Foreman. Each has a wick and reservoir filled with what appears to ordinary lamp oil (not the explosive flash fuel you accidentally set off in the other room).

I light a helmet lamp (off of a flash-lamp if nothing else) and don it. After seeing what Sovereign has done, I draw my sword and behead the strange white creature to make sure. I then accompany Shadow down the tunnel.
