PC Hit Points
For those of you foolish enough to enter the battle, your hit points are as follows:
The Red Grat-alepranon: 8, 4 = 5 Sovereign Mask of All Who See: 1, 3 = 4 The Shadow of the Evermore: 6, 7 = 8 Servitor of The Yellow Sign: 6, 2 = 3 Fated to Die: 6, 4 = 5 Breath of New Moon: 10, 1 = 2 The Eye of Thundera (1+2 HD due to Con): 3, 1 = 3 Thaimos the Seeker: 8, 10 = 11
Some odds for you to ponder: The tentacle that struck Delectable attacked as 1 Light Foot (1LF).
Here are its to-hit odds vs. your armor types: Leather/None (Light Foot): 1 die per tentacle, 6 hits Chain (Heavy Foot): 1 die per 2 tentacles, 6 hits Plate (Armored Foot): 1 die per 3 tentacles, 6 hits
And your odds to hit Light Foot:
LF: 1 die, 6 hits HF: 1 die, 5-6 hits AF: 1 die, 4-6 hits

Servitor's actions for round 1: If he sees a tentacle, he strikes at it with his tulwar. "Sorcerers! Blades alone won't save us!"

The Breath of New Moon picks up her Glaive from the floor of the monorail car where the tall Dolm man casually tossed it. Recovering her helm and pack, she follows the other warriors out the window with nary a thought for the injured rabble left behind.
Once outside, she pauses to don her featureless face-covering helm ((EDIT: and armour if not already worn)), then moves forward behind the others. When she sees the huge tentacle pull the Orange woman up to her death, Breath stops in her tracks and watches carefully without approaching any closer.

The Shadow Of The Evermore approaches the First Class car with determined steps, bracing his shield and swinging his flail over his head, preparing for a strike. The first opportunity he gets, he will attack the next tentacle that gets within his range.

(I would like the first paragraph to apply as a response to the post made at 9:19am and the second paragraph to apply as a response to your combat round inquiry made at 11:06am. Thank you.) The Red Grat-alepranon looks to see if his Yellow Man survived. ( GM ruling, please?) Whether he is alive or dead, Red shall begin to don his armor, since he does not wear it constantly, and look for his weapons. ( Will I have donned prior to combat beginning?) The Red Grat-alepranon will exit the car, but not approach the battle, choosing instead to take in his surroundings while finding a spot that provides some cover from the flailing tentacle.

Your Yellow slave is alive and well. I can't find any rules for donning armor in Chainmail or OD&D. I'm tempted to say 1 round for leather, 2 rounds for chain, 3 rounds for plate... unless anyone has a better suggestion? Therefore you donned your armor during Round Zero and will be armored and ready to act in the upcoming Round One.

My mistake; consider yourself armored in 1 round this time. Does 2 rounds sound fair in the future?

The first opportunity he gets, he will attack the next tentacle that gets within his range. Noting the lack of space to engage on the top of the first class car, The Shadow Of The Evermore climbs into the car to see if he can make his way through to the other end from inside.

The Sovereign Mask of All Who See makes his way calmly out of the mud to dawn his rusted, plate armor. Dropping his sack to the ground, the Purple Man then cautiously makes his way into the fray, flail drawn and barbs dangling at his side delicately.

The EYE OF THUNDERA dons his plate armor and grabs the Sword of Omens as well as his backpack. Once equipped he will enter the first class car through the sliding door.

Fated to Die gathers himself and his gear, and signals to his two slaves:
[under breath] "When opportunity knocks!"
[aloud to the car] "Ye injured, fear not! Myself & mine companions are skilled in the healing arts... let us help first the most stricken among you!"
Fated to Die, the thug slave, and the pack slave tend to the most injured of the passengers, feigning to provide first aid while pilfering anything that looks small & valuable. Fated keeps an eye out to make sure they can escape quickly if need be.

COMBAT ROUND ONE
The Red Grat-alepranon and the Sovereign Mask of All Who See linger a moment next to the coach carriage, adjusting their armor and preparing for action in round 2. (Tom, since you did not specifically state you were travelling without your armor I'll cut you a break and you will be ready next round.) The Breath of New Moon stands guard with glaive in hand, watching for an attack from the rear.
MEANWHILE...
Fated to Die's bold ruse is a success (Charisma check 11) and some of the injured move closer for "medical treatment." His eye is drawn to a gaudy pendant hanging between the luxurious bosoms of a nearby Purple Woman, but alas (Dexterity check 10) his slight-of-hand is unsubtle! She opens her mouth to cry "Thief! Pervert!!!" but Fated quickly silences her with a little "mouth-to-mouth resuscitation."
MEANWHILE...
The Shadow of the Evermore and the Eye of Thundera force open the door to first-class and survey the carnage within. The devastation is much worse than in coach class; many of the well-dressed Green Men are dead or wounded from a combination of impact, shrapnel, and burns. Picking your way through the wreckage in the smoke and dark will not be easy, but you should reach the other end of the car next round (assuming you ignore the cries for help of the dying).
MEANWHILE...
Servitor of The Yellow Sign and Thaimos the Seeker boldly leap atop the overturned carriage and rush to battle with the tentacle beast!!! As you reach the front of the carriage, you see that the monorail's engine is completely sundered, nothing more than a steaming, glowing pile of debris. You are directly under the Shaft, a 10' drop from the carriage-top to the puddles below.
Initiative is rolled. PCs=1, Enemy=4.
A great bulk lowers itself from the Central Shaft. Its bloated body sac pulses with rage, greenish ichor dripping from the spear-wound. Six of its whip-like tentacles stretch forth seeking food as its central eye regards the pair of armored fighters with hunger.
Light Foot (LF) attacking Armored Foot (AF) rolls 1 die per 3 tentacles and needs a 6 to hit. Two dice are rolled: 5 and 4! The sticky tentacles brush against each of you, but are unable to knock you from your feet.
Your turn! Each rolls 1 die + 1 and needs 4+ to hit.
Servitor lashes out with his cruel tulwar (3+1 = 4) and cleaves one of the tentacles! (No damage roll necessary vs. the 1HD tentacle.)
Thaimos follows up with a deadly flail attack (5+1 = 6) that pulverizes a second tentacle. It hangs bruised and limp.
The monster bellows and shifts its bulk to press the attack on the next round!

Fated to Die [shouting]: "This purple wench has nary a scratch, she pushed past the dying simply to steal a kiss. Harlot, away ye! We must tend to the seriously injured."
Fated gestures to his slaves and looks for a victim that won't put up as much of a fight...

Round 2: You and your slaves wantonly pilfer 3cp, 4sp, and 3 items of jewelry: a pewter charm bracelet and a pair of lapis lazuli earrings. Not bad for a single round's work! Please add the loot to your character sheet.

The Red Grat-alepranon, still having spoken no words, points to a place for his slave to wait. He cautiously looks around to see if other enemies are approaching, but he holds, waiting to see the outcome of battle from the other foolish eager warriors.

You are in position to attack in Round 2 (I'll wait for a few more players to respond before resolving combat). Did you want to use your flail or dagger?

The Mirthful Doomed grabs his club, takes a quick swig of fiery liquor for bravery, and defends himself. The liquor's familiar burn emboldens you! You do not appear to be in any immediate danger here inside the carriage; would you like to be more specific with your Round 2 action?

THE EYE OF THUNDERA eyes the devastation of the first class cart and feels both sorrow and anger. While he wishes to help the injured, he knows that no one will survive if the foul beast is not slain. He moves with purpose towards the front of the car with his Sword drawn and ready to attack whatever he finds at the other side.

The Shadow will wait for an opportune time, such as when a tentacle is attacking him or another of those engaged, and swing at it with his flail. Quietly, he laments not bringing along a handful of javelins or spears on this particular journey...

[Servitor's actions for round 2]
I attack the next available tentacle, or other unwholesome body part, of this eldritch horror.
I take note of where I'm standing, with an eye to dropping down a broken window for quick cover inside the carriage if we get overwhelmed.

Looks like we're almost ready to go on Round 2. Let me make sure I understand your intended actions:
Fated to Die has already acted for Round 2, stealing from the wounded.
Red and Breath are holding position next to the carriage.
Mask and Mirthful are preparing/moving to attack. They'll need to pass through or around the 1st-class carriage to get into attack position, unless Servitor or Thaimos retreats (there is only room for 2 abreast to attack atop the car).
Servitor and Thaimos are on top of the 1st class car, locked in melee with the beast. Shadow and Eye have moved into position below the shaft and are ready to attack.
I will roll some dice this evening; you have until then to change/clarify your actions for the round.

((You are correct for Breath's actions))
Breath of New Moon holds position with the cadaverous Red Man (Red Grat-alepranon), pleased that someone else shares her wisdom.
