I think you guys sold me. The next question is do I spend the $60 for the deluxe set or do I just make do with a PDF from DriveThru? Well, I downloaded the freebies then bought the PDFs (and a few of the adventures) now I'm ordering the boxed set... Save yourself the pain and go straight for the boxed set!

Yep, awesome in a box. I got the PDF version and it's still awesome...
Buying the boxed version real soon though.

I played V&V until my dice bled back in the day. Joy of joys it's back thanks to the original authors and RPGNOW... Cheap too.

Cripes! I used to own this game back in 1980 and found it too complex for my still-forming malnourished brain; but from reading this thread I made a huge mistake getting rid of my copy! I'm hunting one down now...

If I hadn't already been convinced to buy D@D by the RPG.net review, this one would have swung it for me. Great work.

I'm really enjoying my initial read - does anyone have a character sheet for this baby?

Tomb of the Iron God rocks. Cheap as chips and an outstanding module.

Swashbucklers and the Supplement seem to have vanished into the aether... Can someone point me in the right direction?

2d6 - 1 treat 11 as 10 weights both ends of the probablity scale and gives a result of 1 - 10.

Hi folks, I'm an old-style gamer from 1981. My first game was Traveller then Runequest, then Tunnels & Trolls... Followed by zillions of others. I never really got into D&D in a big way but I've stepped back in time with S&W Whitebox and found a very nice place.
