Finally, after way too long a time, I have gotten my little Dark Sun project to a point where I can post a playtest draft. Obviously incomplete, but it has enough to begin play and see how it works. The new step, dear hypothetical readers, is to actually play test it. I have put the text of the document onto my website here and you can download a pdf copy there as well if you prefer.

Well done, so far! You might put the PDF link near the top, howver. I had highlighted everything to copy into a Word doc before I found the link at the bottom.

Once I figure out how to do that, I will do just that.

I'm familiar with Google Sites, so I went straight to the bottom of the page. ;D Looks great Matthew, can't wait to see the finished product. I am certainly going to be using parts of your work in my own campaign. Thanks. Dave

Yes and no: I decided that I was making enough changes to the setting premise that I should make it more my own thing. Any input woudl be much appreciated.

My initial comment would be to make it your own.

That's definitely the way I'm going now. What's funny is that I started the blog to put together a psionics-based game, then abandoned that, and now find myself right back where I meant to be in the first place.

I forgot to mention that I put the first, rough-draft of the new thing up at my site as Under the Dying Sun. And to remind Fin that the pdf link is at the bottom of the page. Right now, it looks pretty d**n similar to the other version though.

I'm going to be posting a recruitment thread over on rpg.net to run a little play-test of the thing. If anyone wants in, let me know by posting over there or PMing me.

What format are you planning on using - post, chat, skype,...?

Man, I'm too old to even know what Skype is.
OK, maybe not, but still. It's Play By Post.

That looks great, Matt. A slightly different (though similar) take on psionics from what I'm doing in 12 Parsecs, but very cool nevertheless.
