How about a quick update from the DM as to where everyone is and what you're waiting for from that person?
I see Ways do that every now and then when the game starts stalling...

Most helpful would be for the scouting party (Shade, Apothecaria, and various henchmen) to do some scouting and hopefully establish contact with the new party member who is wandering aimlessly... the rest of the party on Guano Rock is basically stuck pending the outcome of the scouting mission.

OK. We're using the Episode 19 thread, correct?
I'll read back through it and find the description of what we see and where we are and try to pick it up from there.

I (Apothecaria) was waiting to see if the others wanted to follow the fallen henchman down the manhole. Sorry!

Can't do that, even if we wanted to. It happened on the guano island and we are on green slime island.
Going back would be MetaGaming at its finest.

Yeah I think a full update of where everyone is at and general status would be good. I think half of us thought the party had all gone over on the barge and the other half thought we were manhole diving. I personally don't care either way just at the moment i'm confused on where to start.

*sigh* Where is the level progression chart again, Mush? My search-fu is crap today. AFAIK: Fighters: as OD&D (2k, 4k, 8k, 16k, 32k,....) Sorcerers: as Carcosa (3k, 6k, 12k, 24k, ...) Specialists: as LotFP (1.5k, 3k, 6k, 12k, 24k, ...) Corrected: (1.2k, 2.4k, 4.8k, 9.6k, 19.2k, ...)

You are correct for Fighters and Sorcerers. Specialists are 1,200; 2,400; 4,800; etc.

OK, in that case I'd like to split the XP up evenly among Breath's Henchwomen instead, 572XP each (bringing each up to 1383XP), plus a whole 1XP for Breath (12038XP).
Dream Stalker will up her Herbalism/Chirurgy by +2, to +6 if that's possible?

No problem; +6 is the max.

Can we get followers added to the Active Units thread? Or otherwise documented somewhere? I'd like to be able and better keep track (or at least see) how much XP my Deep One Minion and Sgt. Cannibal have so I can decide if I should give either of them some of my XP.

It's funny you mention it---I am strongly considering discontinuing this house rule (and, to be fair, retroactively restoring the XP from the henchmen to the PC) because: 1. too much bookkeeping 2. it doesn't seem right, somehow, for certain PCs to have henchmen who are higher level than some of the other PCs I think Chainmail-as-written actually accomplishes the same goal as my house rule, with zero bookkeeping, by giving troops under a Hero's command +1 to-hit, effectively promoting them from normal men to veterans. Thoughts?

Thoughts? I'm all for it, if it makes our (your) job easier with less bookkeeping. Then we don't have to worry about whether or not giving them xp or enough xp or too little xp affects their loyalty, as well.

We'll keep the rule as-is for now, and consider changing it for the next round of XP awards.
ehiker, by my records, the Deep One is at 2,000xp (just reached lvl 2) and Sgt. Cannibal is at 500xp (1,500 to go).

If we'll change it, but grandfather any existing XP/levels for existing characters, then I want to move Sgt. Cannibal up to lvl 2.

Shall I go ahead and deduct the 1,500xp for Sgt. to reach 2nd level, then?

Good call, in my opinion, to move on from Slime Island. Slimes, oozes, and jellies (treasure type: nil) represent a notoriously poor risk-to-reward ratio. Of course I had some good things hidden on the island, but how many of you would died trying to find them?

I figured it was something like that. Not worth the risk for me.

Hmmm, what should large dinosaurs attack as on the Chainmail Fantasy Combat Table? I'm thinking maybe they attack as a Roc (10+ to hit Giant on 2d6).

I got so excited when the dice gods determined the colossus' random target would be Fated to Die, it seemed so appropriate for his life to be on the line in this climactic battle! Usually I use a die roller software for Chainmail Carcosa, but for Fated's saving throw, I pulled out my big red d20. Definitely one of the most suspenseful die rolls I have made as a DM in this campaign!
