As they ride, he turns D. Shade over and delivers a couple sharp slaps to her face to bring her to her senses - P. Ecstasy laughs when he sees some drool fly. She does indeed come to her senses.

Iszak steps into the room and looks about. The room is large, even larger than the machine shop, over one hundred feet in either direction. As Iszak stand up, it is revealed that there was indeed movement in the room. At the far end of the chamber, it appears that here is some sort of assembly plant, taking the parts from the conveyor belt and forming them into the legion of robots that stands before you. With a quick estimate, Iszak chances that there are nearly seven hundred robots. (80-120 rows of 50-60). There is an exit to either side: a hatch similar to those that have been scattered around the obelisk.

Iszak blinks in amazement at all the robots, then thinks better of his audaciousness and ducks back into the conveyor tunnel to await the others...

The others arrive soon after, a minute at most to Iszak's astute reckoning.

As they ride, he turns D. Shade over and delivers a couple sharp slaps to her face to bring her to her senses - P. Ecstasy laughs when he sees some drool fly. Delectable slaps P. Ecstacy across the face for his impertinence, brushes herself off, then grins a wide warrior's grin and punches him in the shoulder in gratitude for the bold rescue. "I estimate at least 33 score of these metallic warriors... powerless and inert, as though awaiting some command... we must determine the mechanism to activate them and prevent it, or else I fear the odds are stacked impossibly against us!" "Let us learn from our mistake and spread out, for if we travel in tight formation, we are easy targets for the silvered warriors' area-effect weapons." Delectable looks around the hangar for some type of command center or control panel that might be used to awaken the sleeping army.

The Penultimate Ecstasy looks closely at the nearest robot, and then fishes out of his pocket the curious gemstone from the defeated machine.
"If I place this gem into this machine, perhaps it will activate and recognize me as its master..."
He looks at the others and raises an eyebrow...?

"Either way," says Tas, "I can still hear that siren in the background. Let us shove the crystal in the machine's head or get out of here."

OOC: Sorry for not posting, I wasn't clear whether Tas had recovered yet. But I totally agree with the above post.

Delectable continues to look around the room for some kind of control panel or command post...

The room appears to be a simple production plant, there is no visible command center or control area. There is, however, a large bulge in the back wall, about 20 feet off the ground.

Nodu, rubbing her limbs to restore the flow of blood, stares up at the bulge in the back wall of the room. She scans the ground under it to determine the feasibility of stacking objects to make the climb easier...

There's no visible entry form that point, but a giant pile a robots could get you there. Who knows what happens when you touch the robots though? Maybe nothing. Maybe they activate. Maybe they explode. Who knows?

Iszak peers at the nearest robot of the legion closely. Does the machine appear complete and "ready to go", or is it obviously missing some parts?
"It appears zat we must go beck ze way we kame... unless we ken reach zat protruzion and it somehow revealz anozer route..."

There is an exit to either side: a hatch similar to those that have been scattered around the obelisk. "The odds here are stacked against us; we cannot risk activating these metallic foes... We should exit this room, keeping our heads down in case the foreman of this factory is watching from the bulging protrusion on yonder wall." "This obelisk holds many secrets yet to be revealed; I see the puppets, but where is the puppeteer?" Secretly, Delectable wishes above all else to confront the person--or thing--that robbed her of the best years of her life.

So where are you all headed? As of now, all that can be heard is the tremendous crash of factory machinery.

Iszak agrees that we have better odds of success versus seven robots than 700!
He reaches into his worn, leather medical bag and extract the green sphere which he took earlier. "Zis may be useful," he says, offering it up.

"I've a score to settle with the robot that paralyzed me..." Delectable calls back over her shoulder as she ducks back down the broken conveyor belt.
"This time, spread out and use stealth to our advantage... their guns may be bigger, but our minds are superior!"

P. Ecstasy realizes that, at heart, he is a lover and not a fighter... specifically, he loves to take rash chances. Seize glory or suffer the consequences - each is its own reward!
The Penultimate Ecstasy approaches the nearest whole machine, opens the now-familiar access panel, and inserts the green, cube-shaped gemstone. He takes a step back, that this metal beast might better behold its new master...!

One second after P. Ecstasy inserts the crystal.
Two seconds.
Three.
Four.
Five.
Six.
In the tongue of the ancient space aliens, the robot begins to sound: "Primary systems engaging." A small reverberating noise sounds from the machine. "Establishing Imaging Sequence. Please stand still and spin around in a circle." The message appears to be aimed at P. Ecstasy.

P. Ecstasy raises his arms and spins in a circle. As he does so, he says in Space Alien: "Quickly, Machine! There is much work to be done. Notify me when you are ready to accept orders."

"Here we go," mutters Tas grimly, preparing his flail. At the first sign of trouble he'll bash the metal thing to pieces.
