All four now ordered. Looking forward to these! Who did the cover art and does he or she have a page? There's a link in Geoffrey's signature. Just got mine today. Very pleased with the quality of the print from Lulu. Between the covers and the layout, it's very reminiscent of the old B and X modules. Love it. Can't wait to pour through these. My only critique at this point (and it's a minor personal thing) is I would have loved to see a one-level sample dungeon on the inside cover, but that may not be possible with Lulu POD. I'm very happy to hear that you like the modules! As far as I know, it's unfortunately not possible with lulu to put stuff on the inside covers.

Luigi has already turned in another great piece for the cover art for the first Wilderness module, Worm Wars of the Dwarven Ice Kings. I plan on having it available later this fall.

Thanks, but I can't take credit for finding that one. It was actually greenfielder who added it to the game I briefly joined. Alas, every time I join a Carcosa game, it dies an early death. It looks like my Carcosa curse continues, as the adventure I ran last Friday ended up in a TPK. At least the PCs succeeded in their mission. I did use the babboon encounter from Jungles of the K'naanothoa to harass the PCs.

I did use the babboon encounter from Jungles of the K'naanothoa to harass the PCs. This is one of the great things about these modules. Lot's of great encounter ideas in a big sandbox - like it should be. For those folks wary of buying these because they're easily put off by the original Carcosa's terse hex descriptions, fret not. These modules are great examples of how one can take a short, seemingly random hex description: and put some ulfire flesh on those bones:

Nice writeup, foxroe! Can I use it some day? Absolutely! I just winged it as I was typing. Just trying to point out how great the hex descriptions are. Geoffrey's are way better than my hack attempt.

Thanks. I have to reboot the campaign anyway, considering how the last game turned out.

Geoffrey, I noticed a couple of trolls in one of your modules. Since they weren't included in your original version, have you added a lot of "standard" monsters to your Carcosa game?

Geoffrey, I noticed a couple of trolls in one of your modules. Since they weren't included in your original version, have you added a lot of "standard" monsters to your Carcosa game? Yes. Many monsters from the AD&D Monster Manual are used in the modules. Icky, gloppy things (gelatinous cubes, otyughs, trolls, carrion crawlers, shambling mounds, etc.) are all in. That said, many monsters from the Monster Manual were excluded. Fey/fairy tale creatures, demi-humans, humanoids, the Greek mythology crowd, etc. are all out.

Cool! I just got an otyugh miniature. I'll use it in my next Carcosa game.

I have these and really like them, but was wondering if it was possible to get the hex map image files. I would like to print them to larger size and/or view them on my tablet to be easier on my eyes. If I could show you photos or receipt from Lulu showing I purchased them, would that be something you might consider, Geoffrey? If need be, I would even be willing to purchase copies of the maps. It is the only drawback to the modules imo, the text is excellent.

It's been a gangbuster Carcosa day for me. I a)figured out how to fully integrate Carcosa (LotFP) into my existing gonzo campaign world, and b)purchased all four ADD modules. The current LULU code, MINUTE20, essentially provided me with one module for free, so kudos to you, Geoffrey, for keeping that updated in your Spotlight section! Upon completing my purchase, this cracked me up: Had one for each module...

I am thinking of adding Bone Men to one of my homebrew settings. I will also use the Jungles module when I reboot my Carcosa campaign.

Got all of these last week, and have so far read two: The Mountains of Dream and Barrens of Carcosa. The short review: They. Are. Awesome.
TMoD in particular has a pitch-perfect Clark Ashton Smith/HPL Dreamlands feel to it, and could easily be placed south of any unexplored mountain range in any campaign world.

Lulu has a FREE SHIPPING and 15% off discount code: WINTERSHIP
Question: Do codes such as this allow for free shipping to those outside the United States?

"Carcosa" is also a town other than a world, will you include it in your new modules? It will be possible to attend the King-in-Yellow's court?

"Carcosa" is also a town other than a world, will you include it in your new modules? It will be possible to attend the King-in-Yellow's court? Good question. While a forthcoming module will include more details on the city of Carcosa, it will still be lightly-sketched. The city of Carcosa in writing is an example of an unattainable vista. If I heavily detailed it, no matter what I wrote, most people would think it was underwhelming, and rightfully so. ("I always imagined it as so much more.")

If I heavily detailed it, no matter what I wrote, most people would think it was underwhelming, and rightfully so. ("I always imagined it as so much more.") Sort of like a MacGuffin (always wanted to use that word ) - the Holy Grail of the world of Carcosa. The fact that it's there is, I suppose, essential to the theme of the Carcosa setting, but reaching it is not important. Besides, I don't care how powerful the characters are or how clever the players are, they should not survive the trip... I mean, the city should be that horrific. Then again, in one's own game, anything goes.

Would any native in his right mind want to go to Carcosa? I'm sure everyone would know it by reputation, even if the exact details are sketchy.

Would any native in his right mind want to go to Carcosa? I'm sure everyone would know it by reputation, even if the exact details are sktchy. Exactly! Some have boldly disembarked on the shores of Carcosa to be sure, but the very few who have returned are frothing mad, speaking of "incorrect angles", "impossible" structures, and ineffable horrors. I'm sure over the eons the stories that have evolved from these insane ramblings have reached the point of accepted truth, and avoidance of the abode of He Who Should Not Be Named has become dogma. Don't spit into the wind. Don't take wooden coppers. And DON'T go to Carcosa!

I am using Carcosa for an high-level (powerplaying) campaign. PCs are now Immortals (I adapted the rules from Wrath of the Immortals Boxed Set - we're using a customized Labyrinth Lord rules set). They attended to the court of the King in Yellow (they meet Hastur as an "ally"!!), now they must perform some tasks creating some avatars (low level PCs native of Carcosa), so the position of the town could be useful. Another question... when you will release the other Carcosa modules?
