I am totally going to unleash this monster on the PCs next time I run a Carcosa game. That is Encounter Critical levels of wacky! I love it!

I know Mork Borg is a pretty popular game. How about using those mechanics for a Carcosa setting?

This looks cool in a video, but seeing it in real life would be different. If this is what the people who visited R'lyeh experienced, I can see why they'd question their sanity. It would likely exist in Carcosa as well.

I know Mork Borg is a pretty popular game. How about using those mechanics for a Carcosa setting? I don't see why not, but at the same time, Carcosa gains that much more weirdness and mystery when a group from a mundane world is thrust into it, IMO.

I'm considering adding a few races. Not the usual elves and dwarves, but animal-human hybrids like lion men and vulture men. However, newer D&D editions already have them as playable characters, so would adding them make the setting more exotic?

Use a Medieval Bestiary and let all the fanciful illustrations and depictions of real-world animals be accurate in Carcosa.

If lions are afraid of white roosters and dogs lose their voices when crossing a hyena's shadow in a regular D&D game, sure.

After adventuring in Middle-earth for a while, I feel like running a Carcosa game for a change in pace. Maybe I'll write up an adventure or two.

Has anybody run Carcosa in systems (including different OSR games) other than D&D or LotFP? I was thinking of using BFRPG, but I may decide to go with another system altogether, like GURPS or even Big Eyes, Small Mouth.

I haven't used a lot of Troglodytes or Kuo-toa in my games. I think they'd fit right in a Carcosa setting. Ditto Locathah and Sahuagin. Are there any significant differences between the last three species?

Troglodytes are fierce warriors. Kuo-toa are temple builders. Sahuagin are devil worshipers.

The Behelit from the Berserk manga/anime would be a natural fit for Carcosa.
