I don't normally post links about fund-raising campaigns, but these miniatures would make great Amphibious Ones.

Does anyone remember the PLOP! comic book by DC? The cover illustrations would make some horrifying ideas for mutants in your Carcosa game.

While Carcosa and Middle-earth are quite different, I thought about using the Carcosa sorcerer as a basis for spellcasters in Middle-earth. They would have spells instead of rituals; they can choose from either the cleric or magic-user list (some spells would not be available). I may limit the type of armor allowed, but not the weapon list.

All good ideas, thanks. I'm still looking for an isolated location with weird architecture and/or terrain for a Carcosa LARP. Just go drop acid in the desert.

A couple of links for you guys.
Triffids would be a great addition to Carcosa. Thanks to Emetix in Dragonsfoot. Deep Dream Generator can help you generate images. Here are some ideas on lightsabers: They can bypass armor but will be stopped by force fields. On a natural roll of 20, they may amputate a limb as a sword of sharpness. However, unlike a sword of sharpness, lightsabers have no alignment.

A giant version of this worm would make a great monster. A swarm of regular sized ones would be even better. Make them amphibious, so they can crawl out of the sea to devour anyone foolish enough to camp along the shore (A BEACH PARTY? Fool, this is CARCOSA!).

That would make a good monster for the PCs to take on.

Thanks, but the photos don't seem to be available. Also, Pinterest requires you to be a member in order to see all the photos.

Logan and I grab pics from each others Pinterest to add to our own all the time... I let mine slack over the last few months, but Logan's Pinterest is probably my biggest go to source for more art. Once you start down the Pinterest path forever will it control your destiny and hard drive space...

Pinterest is the devil... ...but it is the best way so collect inspirational stuff online. Normally, I prefer tumblr - because of it's uninhibited way to work with adult stuff - but without the right skin it is just a pic dump with no clarity.

FWIW, I just had to choose a module on which I base plane-traveling adventures in my DCC RPG home campaign; was torn between 2e's "Nightmare Lands", and Carcosa. ...Chose Carcosa.

I always seem to forget the Talislata rpg. I have an old edition of the rulebook, but I never played the game. Still, I can mine some ideas for Carcosa, notably fleshing out the different human races.

The B/X Adventure City of the Gods can be used as a Carcosa adventure. The crashed spaceship can be manned by space aliens or Earthmen from the future. Temple of the Frog would work well too.

A little Carcosa humor:
It is said that "The Eloquent Wind" (Hex 0903) earned his title by passing gas during his long, dreary speeches. His flatulence is matched only by "The Yellow Prince of the Winds" (Hex 0916).
