No email or delivery yet. Do they even deliver on Columbus Day? If I had to guess it would be "no" but then I assume that most important groups shut down every holiday they can get.

I got an email from John on October 2nd saying I was in the next batch to go out. Haven't received another email since then, nor the actual box itself. Hoping I get it before Thanksgiving!

I meant to say I haven't even received the email from BHP that I should be considering wondering when it's coming in the mail. At this point, I'm expecting I might get the DD Next rules in physical form first.

Today I got my boxed set!
I seem to remember mentions of some kind of extra thingie being included due to the lateness, and the box mentions dice and a pencil which is not included.
But! I'm not bothering to make a fuss, because I finally got it. The box is sturdy and looks great.
It's a bit sad that gaming opportunities seems rare for me, for my first feeling is that I want to play this game. Really, play it.
Thanks John.

Yes, once all the boxed sets are sent out, there is supposed to be a second shipment, containing, IIRC: Holmes Ref, three modules, dice, and the cardstock Blackmarsh map. It was also supposed to include Alchemical Synergy, but that may or may not have been abandoned.

I've been feeling both for John and his customers - here's hoping that this whole boxed set debacle finally gets put to bed in a successful manner.

I hope everyone else who's waiting for a box has gotten theirs by now?
Someone else might want to start a new thread to track the progress of any extras that might or might not get sent out later. Me, I'm done for now.

Still no box set, still no email. Did you send him a PM on this board so he could confirm your details? If not you really should. Clearly some records got lost.

Looking for an update here.
On Sept 5th I got the late shipment order email, since then crickets, other than the postings here about how swimmingly everything is going. We are nearly 3 months since that email (I'm assuming Thanksgiving will be a wasteland).
Since I recently received my Ogre Designer Edition from SJG after a year+ delay, I was hopeful that DD Boxed Set would be closing too and my long delayed support would be rewarded. I've seen unboxings of it, read reviews on blogs, read play reports from people here...
I'm growing anxious.

I'm still waiting as well, if it makes you feel better. Hah. The last word was that he expects the first Delving Deeper shipment wrapped up by the end of November. There is another thread here with that status update.

I'm waiting too, but I am happy John has my details. Until he says "everything, absolutely every last box se, is now shipped" and then 4 weeks after that for shipping to NZ I am not going to get worried.

It is a race between this box set and the OD&D reprints for me.

I got a tracking number from John on Monday, so my package is somewhere between him and me now. I emailed him about all my outstanding orders that morning, which might have been a little push for him to send mine out.

I got the email it was going out last week, but haven't received the tracking email yet. I'd forgotten until just now about that. Here's hoping!

It has been three months since I posted here. I felt bad at the time because John responded quickly and positively to that post. I have waited patiently...nothing. I have read his updates, his latest being that only a dozen shipments were left to go. I waited again sure that I must just be unlucky enough to be in the last shipment. I emailed John again. Nothing.
John, please do me this one favor. I mean this in the best possible way. I am tired of waiting for this. It is my natural compulsion to believe that people are good. This has gone on long enough. Send me an email saying "Sorry, you will never receive what you paid for" and I will accept that and move on. In the last two years, I have purchased and received just about every retro-clone on the market. I do not need another one.
I wish you the best of luck John,
A Former Customer

The holidays have kept me busier than I had planned. Your order went out this week with a bunch of others. You will receive what you paid for. Again, my apologies for the terribly long wait.

Rather than promise that people's copies have gone out, please promise to send tracking emails when you send out further copies. Mostly because I'm stupid enough to keep believing you when you say my copy is going out this week.

My wait is over. I just received my Delving Deeper box set along with the first round of Appendix N adventures. Credit where credit is due, John produces a quality product. These are gorgeous! Thank you.
I wish you the best of luck in future endeavors, and I hope you are able to rebuild the trust of all of your customers.
