Other than "Run", no.

Yes, I'm sure. PoH retreats as far as possible. He tries to reach Wizard-killer and shields him with his body. PoH's henchmen must make a morale check to follow the suicidal command. They roll 7--failure--and run off into the swamp. PoH is now henchmanless! He cuddles up with the giant ant who is now his only companion.

Round 6
**KABOOM!!!**
Breath's bomb detonates inside of the copper colossus, wreaking terrible damage on its internal structure! It inflicts 4d12=21hp damage and blows a huge hole in the statue's midsection, tearing its copper toga apart and exposing the weight-bearing girders within.
The Colossus has taken cumulative 172hp, surely enough damage to bring down any foe, no matter how large? And yet it keeps on coming!
The Colossus winds up and hurls its giant slab like a discus, in the direction of [random target] the hero who has been directing the missile fire, Fated to Die!
This is an example of Fantasy Combat, Chainmail's system for resolving larger-than-life attacks. Giant vs. Hero needs 6 to hit, and the Colossus rolls 9, a hit. The slab sails through the air like a frisbee, all the way back to the beach where Fated has retreated with his men!
Fated's 4 ulfire men must save vs. wands or be crushed outright! 13, 8, 18, 8... two of them make their saves and dive to safety; the other two, alas...
Fated has 13hp and takes 4dd damage (save for half). The Carcosa Crazy dice will be d6's for this all-important roll. 4d6=14hp and Fated needs to roll 11 on his save and rolls... 11, just barely success! He takes 7hp crushing damage and is pinned under the giant slab, reduced to 6hp. Perhaps today is not his day to die!

Shade scans the giant colossus figure, seeking out any obvious weak points (aside from the huge hole in his chest.
**We need to immobilize it. Focus on its legs.**
He sends Andre (and any of the larger dinos who will listen to him) in to charge the giant's legs, hopefully knocking them down again.
(Maybe we should have planted the bomb on a leg? Too late to speculate, I guess...)

Fated: "Well, this is remarkably unfair! You two guys, can you get me out?"
Reckoning the slab is too heavy to lift, Fated directs them to dig into the sand to get him out.

Breath is rather disappointed with the piddling hole her explosives blasted in the thing's chest, but does not dwell it too much considering the mortal danger she and the others still face!
"If we can somehow break those internal girders, it may fall apart. But if the explosives didn't do the job, I don't know what will!"
Little Brother: charges a leg again, working with Andre to knock the colossus down again. Breath: gets a Howdah and readies herself. If the dinos can knock it down again, her plan is get inside and do some internal damage. Blade, Maw: reload howdahs.
**Did Dream Stalker fire off her bazooka in rounds 4 or 5? Or does it require reloading? I was just reading over the thread and didn't see any mention. If it is proving ineffective, she will switch back to her howdah gun.

Round 6 Continues
Dream Stalker fires off a round of the glitter bazooka. The Colossus rolls 17, easily making its saving throw, and is unaffected, except that the very badly damaged statue is now sparkling with insanity glitter!

Not sure if insane colossus is better... Glitter Bazooka causes 1 random result from the AD&D table, for example roll of 1 = dipsomania! However, based on the whopping damage the colossus has endured so far, it must have more than 13HD, and therefore excellent saving throws!

"The giant colossus goes tearing through your packs, looking for wine..."
Hmmm... yeah, doesn't sound any better.

PoH runs after his henchmen, taking Wizard-killer with him. If he can't find them, he'll go back to the colossus and try to ascend into the girders.

Sounds like, for now, the immediate Round 7 plan is to send in the big dinos to "sweep the leg, Johnny"?
Then, if they can knock it down, send some man-sized troops into the Colossus on Round 8 to smash the girders from within?

"But Sensei, I can beat this guy!"
Yeah, that sounds about right. Anyone with a Howdah is reloading whilst the Dino's go after the legs.

The selfish master unwilling to lose his prize host takes the Loyal Beast and high tails it back to the barge. He will take the barge and push it off without waiting for anyone else. OOC: Seemed like selfishly evil god was a fitting secondary personality unless you have other intentions Mush

Round 7
Fated watches helplessly from under the slab as Loyal Beast steals the barge...
PoH runs into the swamp in search of his henchmen...
The dino squad of Andre, Big Al, and Little Brother attempt a coordinated melee attack against the badly-damaged Copper Colossus: 7, 7, 5 (all miss). The colossus holds its metal guts in with its hands and aims a vicious kick at Andre! 4 (miss). The giant statue's sandaled feet are surprisingly nimble as it dances with the dinosaurs. Neither side takes damage. Your foe towers over the dinos at 100'+ tall!

Next round, Shade will direct the Dino's to scatter in all directions, trying to confuse the giant. Meanwhile, anyone with a Howdah, bazooka, rock, spear, or throwing knife should do a ranged attack. It can't have much left in it... (What's this bit about taking off with the barge? )

Round 8 BeginsThe Preservation of Humanity (accompanied by his ant Wizard-Killer) runs into the swamp in search of his henchmen, and finds them! The two jale men are insane with rage toward their abusive former master, and threaten grievous bodily harm with their spears! Initiative is rolled (separate from what's going on nearby with the Colossus): PoH 6, henchmen 6.... simultaneous action! They roll 2 dice and hit on a 6: 3, 6. PoH is struck once for 8hp, reducing him to -4hp! However, because simultaneous initiative was rolled, he (and his ant) will have the opportunity to retaliate (if he wishes) before he succumbs to his injuries. Meanwhile, Fated's henchmen succeed in digging him out from under the statue's giant slab. However, it's too late to stop the two-faced Loyal Beast from stealing the barge; off he goes! Meanwhile, under Shade's command, the dinosaurs scatter, confusing the Colossus. (I'll give everyone a +2 flanking bonus this round to represent this.) Breath and her henchwomen open fire with their howdah guns. (Let's say they used rounds 6 and 7 to reload both barrels.) They need 8+ to hit, with +3 bonus to the roll (+2 flanking, +1 heroic bonus for Breath's leadership). They hit a whopping 7 times (only BB misses, with one of her shots) for 7d6=31hp! The large-caliber lead shots inflict terrible damage on the thin copper plating, and the Colossus is destroyed! It deanimates, and, in slow motion, the 100' statue begins to topple, rocking first one way, then the other. Who will it crush when it falls?

Hopefully the barge will soon find its way back to us... before Shade has to go for a swim and retrieve it. FYI, his swimming speed is quite a bit faster than the barge. And he can leap out of the water. And he has a Deep One minion who can do the same. FYI, he won't be pleasant to deal with if he has to do this. We have a long way to go before we get a colossal head back to the University. Also, watching our backs for fear of prematurely fleeing party members isn't something Shade wants to make habit.

Grand and his remaining henchman peek out from behind the large rock they were hiding behind.
The Earthman watches as the giant metal statue teeter to and fro, ready to fall in any direction. "Oh dear. This shant end well I think."

The Colossus topples in the direction of [random target] Apothecaria, who is standing near the discarded torch. She must save vs. wands to avoid certain death and rolls.... 19, success!. Apothecaria scoots out of the way, just in time!
As the Colossus hits the ground, its badly-damaged frame cannot withstand the impact, and it breaks into several large pieces: hands, limbs, torso, and of course, the valuable head! Its baleful, blank stare unnerves our heroes, and its lips twitch in silent curses! But while the head is not completely de-animated, now that it is severed from the body it appears quite powerless to harm you (unless you do something dumb like stick your arm in its mouth).
The party has defeated a 50HD Torch-Wielding Copper Colossus! But at terrible cost: 2 of PoH's henchmen, Sgt. Cannibal and 6 of his kin, 2 of Fated's men, all of Apothecaria's apprentices, all but 1 of Grand's Punjabis, and one PC: The Preservation of Humanity, betrayed by his own cowardly henchmen!
Everyone, please help me describe the aftermath of this most incredible battle!
[Stay tuned for massive XP influx over on the Experience thread...]

Fated and his men run up to the main group: "Did you see the way I distracted that thing and made it throw its tablet at me? Wow, great job huh? Anyhoo, don't worry about me I'll recover. So... that creep stole our boat, how we gonna get that back?"

Seeing the colossus drop and the threat to his minion subsided the Unknown master would push the barge back to the coast.
It's noticeable during the time the second head has been inflated the wraiths have been left uncontrolled and unattended to screeching and carrying on without a master to guide them.
OOC: Please act accordingly if I suffer consequences from my unknown entity when it takes control go for it. Hopefully I return to my normal self soon.

Apothecaria tends to her wounds and those of her companions, while silently weeping for her lost henchmen.
