Oregon Coast myself. Hard to find gamers in such a rural area. I'm grateful for the internet.

...You two DO know that the running joke here in Germany is that Bielefeld doesn' exist, right? Like, somewhat like a modern-day Brigadoon, Germans doubt the town is really there. Like Finland, another "fake place".

Like Finland, another "fake place". Natürlich, die Bielefeldverschwörung! Of course the Bielefeld conspiracy! Fwiw my own theory about the Bielefeld consipiracy is that Bielefeld's big enough that if you live in Germany you're likely to have met someone from there, but too small to ever need to visit (unless you live nearby). Hence the feeling that the place only exists in the words of others.

...In case you want to D&D this, "Bielefeld" is a term from the medieval German word for "Riftvale", or "Rift-Town". Now, where have we seen this, already? elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Riften_(Skyrim) ...Maybe the whole town's a Moongate, or something.

Born and bred in Middle Tennessee. Done all my gaming here so far. Steeped in a tradition going back to the 2e days. We have our own idiosyncrasies and style in this area. Done most of my gaming online in recent years, as I've shifted towards a more old school mentality. I find that "the kids these days" and even most older gamers in this area only want to play the Shiny New Thing and that ain't my bag.

I don't remember if I ever responded to this thread, maybe long ago.
I live in Lexington Kentucky, home of the famous "Rusty Scabbard" a gaming store which has been around a long time. Need to get over there sometime in the future for board game night.

Middle Tennessee as well.
Born in St. Louis, grew up in Northern Alabama, moved to Middle Tennessee for college and then returned to stay.
I’ve played the Shiny New Thing, and I’m okay (leaning meh) with it, but it’s not my bag. Classic D&D is my thing. Now if I could just get some others to choose it as their thing, too, I’d be solid!

A weekend game sometime would be feasible on my end, perhaps, once the current climate of not getting face to face more than is necessary passes. I'm toying with the idea of finding ways to network and connect specifically old school gamers from the Midstate. Plenty of gaming going on around here, but not precisely what we're looking for in most instances.

For the past decade I've been trapped in a decidedly dull place called Nirgendwo (Missouri), being all too removed from that more exciting locality named Woanders (east coast). (I colleged in Minneapolis, and am orig. from the DC/NoVa area.) Nine years later...still stuck in Missouri.

I first came to Hong Kong in 1990, when it was still the coolest city in human history. I spent about 18 years here in total since then, on-and-off. Depressing as it is, with the Chinese Communist Party going full police state here over the past year (though they weren't supposed to do that until 2047) I will be leaving for good in about 14 hours. It's somewhat mitigated by the fact that a lot of what made the place cool has been gradually erased since the handover, so much of what I'm nostalgic about is already gone anyway.

Peachtree City, GA. (Weird place. More info below)
I grew up and spent most of my life in the (then) small town of Fayetteville, GA (or, as we say “Fetvil” heheh). About 20 miles south of Atlanta.
As of about 8 or so years ago I now live a few miles from there in a town that often features in lists of the strangest cities in the US: Peachtree City. The land of a million golf carts. Nah. Not a million. According to local sources only around about 25,000 or so (population of 36,000) but whatever. Hahah! There is a network covering the city of about 100 miles of golf cart trails. One can go anywhere and everywhere in and about town with just a golf cart. There are golf cart parking spaces in most lots, and half the high schools lot is devoted to such. Most families own golf carts in addition to their cars. Seriously. Some own more than one, some are ‘extended’ to fit six or even eight people! Many folks ‘kit’ them out with mag wheels or flame jobs. Nearly everyone decorates their carts for July 4th, Halloween, Christmas....lights, banners, the works. Yes.
It’s also one of the many local places where live, work and film The Walking Dead crew and actors, etc. Seeing them in local stores and restaurants over the past decade fairly often is a thing.

I will be leaving for good in about 14 hours. Be careful VT! Reasonably settled in now, though I can't really say I've rejoined society until we sort out a house, car, and phone. Thanks for the concern, rredmond, but I think we'll be fine. COVID-19, at least, I can mitigate by following medical advice and strict hygiene. The new National Security Law in Hong Kong, on the other hand, means whatever the CCP wants it to mean, so is a lot more difficult to guard against!

Central Nebraska. I could tell you the town, but its so small, you wouldn't find it on a map anyway.
I was a member here once long ago, but kept losing either the laptop and all register/login info, or the password saver "forgot" the login.
Good to be back, although I see several of you every day on K&KA or DF anyhoo.
