Other than the Vargr ship, there are currently no other ships in port. There is just a single bar in the star port. More in the city.

When you land, the passenger who was shipping an ATV takes it and a few passengers he recruited at Cheapside and heads out of the star port.
Zeb and Perez go to the bar. It's kind of quiet with no other ships in port. There are a few star port personnel (one seems to be a security officer, the others cargo or fuel handlers). There are a few folks who perhaps are seeking passage off world and two locals who seem to have come for the easy access to off world spirits.

Jack is impressed by Perez' largesse, and just looks around. He would like an opportunity to chat with the two locals, find out what life is like on this planet, what they do for fun and profit, etc. No name dropping yet

I assume Perez's and Zebulon's plan was to talk up folks and fish for information. Zebulon get's a Streetwise roll 3+1 = 4. Folks just aren't talking...

Hey, I just realized, Albert Durh's computer hacking should have also maybe turned up something about Janet or at least a ship arrival that might be the ship Janet was brought in on (assuming she was indeed brought here). I'll try and get to that this evening, also resolving Perez's schmoozing attempt.

Oh, jeez, I keep forgetting about this campaign...
Albert's hacking also turned up the Smooth Sally arriving 1231:049 from Ludgates.
Perez senses he's not popular here (reaction 4), and folks start complaining about how the Scouts search every incoming ship for contraband. They seem really angry about the Scout Service...

He could try and engage them in a gambling game if he wanted to press further.

Sure. Low stakes, Jack will tell lightly stories of various roguish episodes that usually resulted in some gain, or a big strike out

I'm sorry that this game has been dragging on. I think there is interesting stuff here, but somehow this game is suffering in part due to what's all going on for me and I apologize for that.
What would really help me is for each player who is still interested in playing to give some thoughts as to what immediate goals they would like to pursue as well as any long term goals. That will help me take the campaign in an interesting direction and get things moving again. If any of you want to just be "wall flowers", let me know, that's fine, but it helps to know who to expect input from.
For my part, there is definitely something interesting going on with psionics. There's also possibility of exploring an alien ruin here.
There's also probably something interesting to be had with interactions with the Vargr.

I'm basically in this to support my friend Frank. I would like at least two other people besides myself to post regularly. You can usually keep a game running with three involved players. If we can't get that, then there is no point

Jack wants some action - he can drive and shoot, but he is not a big thinker, and while he has basic human decency, he looks on legal/illegal as technicalities depending upon location - it is better to rely on your own moral compass. In the short term, we are here to find a friend. In the long term, he wants excitement, adventure, exploration - but some good hard credits to make it worthwhile. So he is fine to cruise around the rift

Logan takes the information about Smooth Sally and heads for Bastinadi Traffic Control. Once there he will make an appointment with the Port Captain just for a "get to know you" call. While at Traffic Control Logan will try the following with the Port Captain and any other officials I meet: First, "Say, was the Smooth Sally through here recently? I think, I've got an old buddy, Eneri Iggins who was aboard her doing a working passage. If I could I'd like to check up on him. Any chance I could get a look at her Passenger Manifest to see if he was still aboard her? I think he was traveling with a woman called Janet, so she might be listed if she paid and Eneri didn't." Second, "Hey, we have a letter for a guy who's supposed to be here on Bastinadi. His wife entrusted it to us to deliver here. How would we go about tracking him down?" Logan tries everything (Admin, Carousing, Liaison), up to and including bribery... Admin: [2d6] = 7 Carousing: [2d6] = 11 Liaison: [2d6] = 7 Bribery: [2d6] = 11

That might happen quicker than you think... Before the Thanksgiving crazy and last week's crazy with vacation, I had rolled up an encounter with a bunch of rowdies for after you exit the bar... With that in mind, if folks want to clarify what weapons they brought to the bar and if they are wearing their armor... You are in the star port so local law level doesn't apply, of course the star port authorities don't like lots of mayhem...

Jack had his SMG slung over his back and his blade on his hip. He wears cloth. He ditches the SMG when law level does not allow it

Zeb keeps his pistol handy. He'll also carry the blade he was training with, if it's useful as an actual weapon instead of a training weapon.
Edit: I'm glad Zeb was able to temporarily increase his brawling skill, if not the blade skill. It looks like it will come in handy.

Albert and Lukasz will be staying aboard, but not sure to what degree you consider them crew. I'm guessing Mother and Sharron would like to go to the bar, but the foxroe has not responded recently. If foxroe doesn't show up by the time we're done with Bastinadi, we will have to decide the disposition of Mother and Sharron, whether they go off with Janet Smyth if she's rescued, or do something else, I don't want to have too large a stable of NPCs... As you step out the door to head back to the ship, there is a welcoming committee of 11 toughs in leather jackets wielding clubs... They seem very angry and are yelling "Go away outsiders!"
