The WB rulebook is a work of art! I can hardly wait until the 'core' rules receive the same treatment.
The covers of both versions of S&W are amazing. Hands-down the best FRPG covers in the past decade IMO.

I love the "Wild North"! Thanks, Robert. I plan to use it for the far north of my homebrew setting (not the Wilderlands). Any chance that a "players' map" will be made available?

It has been a long, long project that sometimes managed to get me absolutely fascinated, and sometimes made me lose my hair at an alarming rate. Sadly, the hair loss does not stop with the completion of the PhD.

Also, no "Dr. Lux" yet. However, I'm planning to submit my PhD thesis in March, and then at last... Cool. Any chance it's in philosophy, like Calithena's and mine? Or have you chosen a more sensible field? Also, I'm very much enjoying the Fomalhaut article. Naturally, my favourite location is the polis of 'Akrasia'.

I've sent Cal an article on giving 'background professions' (e.g., alchemist, brigand, hunter, farmer, etc.) to player characters.

Oh yeah, another minor criticism: there is no explanation (as far as I can tell) of the terminology used in the book (viz. DC, WD, etc.).

I received my copy a couple of days ago. Great stuff! I've only skimmed it so far, but the Wilderland's Wild North, Fomalhaut, and Spawning Caverns of the Crab Men really stand out as uber-cool. (And I noticed that there is a town called 'Akrasia' in Fomalhaut!)
One minor criticism: the inner margins are too close to the binding, making the book sometimes difficult to read (without cracking the spine).

I've said it a few times elsewhere, but it bears repeating: that cover is beautiful!

I ran the 'ruined monastery' in May for some people pretty much new to RPGs, using the Moldvay Basic D&D rules. Everyone had a blast!

A superb primer, Mythmere! I'm considering giving this out to players for any RPG I run in the future. Thanks.

I agree Coleston. Issue one was great!
I really liked your article on 'sandbox' campaigns, Cal. And I had a good time running James Maliszewski's adventure "The Ruined Monstery" for some D&D neophytes. They all loved it.

Cal, I'm afraid that I can't contribute anything right now. I'm busy grading and moving from Ireland back to North America. Sorry!
