What non-fiction or reference books do you routinely use? Do you use any and if not, why? What kinds of reference books do you consider essential in aiding your games?

I have a stack of old National Geographics in the garage that I mine for ideas. Lots of remote tribes, interesting environments, weird bugs. Also, the maps are stupendous.

National Geographic is a good call! Being a huge fan of The Little Prince, I was so excited when I ran across a picture of the Avenue of Baobabs in one years ago.  The imagination soars. |
