Submissions wanted for AFS zine Issue #4. Setting a preliminary deadline of September 15, 2013. Submissions can be sent in a word doc to srmoberly -at-yahoo.com. Article submissions should be written in a basic old school format and be based in the Worlds or flavor of REH, CAS, HPL, or Jack Vance. Contributors can see their names in print, get a reduced price magazine, and a contributors coin for the Issue. Have heard some good ideas from a few on submissions, and am working on a few things as well (Urban setting related Variant Classes for Holmes Basic 'The Street Burglar', 'The Brawler', and an introductory adventure for levels 1-2 called 'Theme for a Jackal')
Send it in! <Thanks>

I second that endorsement! I'll have something for this issue--a very CAS twist on the halfling, written by a friend of mine, illustrated by me. As soon as I'm once again gainfully employed, I'm gonna need to catch up on my back-issues...

Some cool ideas starting to trickle in from people working on things. Encouraging. Write something to submit before it's too late..

Finally, my submission is in, and thank you to Scott for holding off on pulling the trigger so I could get my piece in for the next issue, with time to play-test it with my group, too.

Update 11.27.13 Things still progressing with AFS 4. Have all the submissions except one I am waiting on. AFS 4 will be featuring a cool new subclass for the Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea game and a related short adventure by Jeff Talanian. Also looking forward to presenting a new map and article from Allan Grohe. 'Theme for Jackal' will be a full length adventure set in the black craggy recesses of the the Gal Hills of Hyperborea for adventurers level 2-3 written by myself, and much much more...Hoping for an early December release in time for Christmas

Very nice! I will plug this here and there around the net. BTW -- it should read "Astonishing" not "Astounding" for my game in the TOC.
