Tales of the Space Princess is a roleplaying game inspired by the pulp serials and retro science fiction. Rather than attempting to emulate the genre, Space Princess focuses on an easy-to-run premise: A dungeon crawl, in space (i.e. rescue the princess from an alien fortress). The rules are very light (the core is 4 pages) and based on the original version of Dungeon & Dragons, with many changes including five classes (psychic, scientist, scoundrel, space ranger, and star warrior) and three species (human, robot, and aliens created by choosing from 10 types and 14 powers), spaceship combat, super science (gadgets that fill the same role as magic items, in fantasy games), and more than 100 monsters.
