Looks good! I'd love to play one.
My only question is why don't they get their Str bonus to their gore damage? I'd think that'd be a natural for them.

I have no idea why it originally said "no Strength Bonus," but I've modified the document. Please DO play-test!

How long (far out side to side) are the horns?

Looks awesome--right up there with coffee's Balrog class! I might grant them a natural AC of 7 [12], especially based on that miniature. I'd also be tempted to limit them to chainmail or at most some sort of half-plate, and no shields. They'd be somewhat at a disadvantage in time as a fighting class, in that pretty much no magical armor would fit them, unless it was specific to minotaurs as a race. As a perennial DM, I'd definitely allow this bruiser in a campaign. I especially like the 25% chance to accidentally whack your companions if they get too close during the heat of battle. I can envision the party crying, "Let loose the minotaur!", letting him do some damage, and then moving in to soak up the reeling remnants...

I had a friend who ran a DragonLance campaign and I think there might have been stats for Minotaur PC characters there. It would be interesting to compare this one with the "official" version.

It's possible that is what is referenced at the beginning of the thread I referenced above at the GoblinoidGames/LL forum. the "Minotaurs of Krynn." The description there was the original template that I had taken all of our self-imagined notes and folded/adapted into. There's a small bit of remnant there left to see my original publicly announced plagiarism. Be sure to see my link at the top for my Google doc. THAT's the one that I've been editing and drafting out. (and the one we'll be play-testing though an adapted "X1 Isle of Dread" session tonight with my boys and a few friends. w00t!

My only question is, "now why would I play a fighter when I could play a Minotaur?" Yes, I can't wield ranged weapons......but other than that, they are like a Fighter+.

Well, there is that chance of chopping up your friends accidentally. And their sheer size is going to make some aspects of dungeoneering especially difficult. I mean, they're fighters, but very focused, limited fighters. (which isn't bad, per se...)

Well, they eschew populated areas, no magic items except perhaps a two-handed weapon, no spells, lousy social life, clumsiness, poor eyesight.... there are a good deal of limits. But, heck ya, they're cool.

We did a play-test last night for about 5 hours. There's some kinks in the battle-rage ability. The minotaur was in heated combat with a werebear and down by more than 60% of his hit points. While in battle rage, he nearly took out a cleric that was trying to do a "cure light wounds" spell on him from behind. The cleric took a nasty one. Both lived, the minotaur later in same battle, took out a 2nd werebear, but also contracted the disease and has 8 days to find an 11th level cleric or higher to do a "cure Disease" spell on him or he dies.
While we liked the "friendly fire" aspect brought into the game, it kind of makes the rest of the players just sit and watch passively.
I'm thinking of maybe just giving a slightly higher edge to melee attacks and damage across the board, removing the "battle rage" state, but perhaps keeping in a 10% chance of PC's getting hurt when in adjacent range. But no "on and off" of the condition/state.
Thoughts???

Major revisions and changes on the Google doc, see link above. Still needs more grammatical type editing, but it's getting there!
