I'm still trying to digest the massive amount of information posted in this sub forum. [Really great work everyone!] I was wondering if anyone every posted up an expanded FCC chart?
I posted in the Other TSR Games area I'm fiddling with Dungeon! and the FCC seems to be at the heart of the system. I see in Fin's Ringmail Variant and Forbidden Lore pdf a lot of work has gone into the Appendix A combat tables [and MtM tables]. So I was just checking if anyone has done FCC.

Welcome, glad you are finding the subforum useful. In terms of the fantasy combat table, expanded to include what? Matthew! Glad to see you around these parts!
Anyway, like these tables. Are these home-brewed, or are they from an "official" source or culled from Chainmail in some way (I don't recognize them)?

Hello, Foxroe! I usually stick to this subforum on the whole, limited time and all that! Yeah, it is just an extrapolated version of the Chain Mail fantasy combat table applying the various pluses and minuses for differentiated heroic ability, not official.

Those are very cool thanks for posting them. I was also wonder about monsters that are not already on the FCT. I saw this post odd74.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=chainmail&thread=5321&post=73378Which like your chart, that includes Swordman [Hero -1], shows roll groups that could be used. Although I do not think a Orc should be Ogre -2 it should be Ogre -3 [and goblin Ogre -4]. I realize that these types of monsters do not belong on the FCT btb but I was looking at expanding the chart. -Mike

Hmm, there is an older post thread hereabouts that lists "equivalencies" for monsters to those listed in the FCT. Rather than dig it out I'd just point you to the OD&D combat with CHAINMAIL booklet that is a free download on my lulu store - because that post is cleaned up and in the book towards the end. stores.lulu.com/boggswoodMInd you the Cleric table is wrong in that booklet - I just haven't gotten the update finished and uploaded yer.

Thanks Cooper! These are great also. That was really what I was wanting to see if someone had done. Specifically the -1 +1 from the base. I've come up with 2 more categories which will help in my rework.
Vermin [base Lycan -1 no wizard bonus] [Wizard -1, Wight +2, Ghoul +1] Giant Lizard [Vermin -2] Giant Rat [Vermin -2] Giant Spider [Vermin -1] Giant Snake [Vermin]
WolF [base attack as hero -2/ defend as wight and with out undead resistance] Wild Wolf [ wolf -1] Worg [wolf] Dire Wolf [wolf +1] Hellhound [wolf +2]
Golem [attack as Giant, defend as Elemental] [Wizard, Wraith +2] Gargoyle [Golem -3] Stone Guardian [Golem -2] Flesh Golem [Golem -1] Clay Golem [Golem] Stone Golem [Golem +1] Iron Golem [Golem +2]
-Mike
[Edited for Golem and rework of bases]

So here is what I have for design guideline based on the original FCT with the expanded groups. [Little PDF chart attached] At this point I've got the main info I was looking for, thanks for all the pointers. I've exalted everyone. I'll finish off my rambling in the Dungeon! w/chainmail thread I started. -Mike Attachments:

I made a massive expanded combat matirx a few years back and a distributed a few copies via email to people who asked but I seem to have lost it. arghhh. It converted the 2d6 rolls to d20 rolls and added most if not all the OD&D monsters. Anyone have a copy?
