Hi, The owner of Hexmapper Haven has long been absent. Although I am a moderater at said forum, I cannot approve new members. I started Hexmapper Haven Redux to solve the problem of access to the program and related files. It is much easier to join the new site. Anyone who would possibly enjoy Hexmapper, written by Len Zaikowski, is welcome to join groups.yahoo.com/group/hexmapper_haven_redux/ . Other ARR Kelaan software is also available, such as Hexmapper's successor Adventure Writer, etc. All the best, Greg

Thanks for doing that (That explains why I never got into the old group after applying). I just joined. There's some other great resources in there besides the hex-mapping app too.

Oh you are welcome. Redux has been up for a year now I think but I keep seeing the list of people who have applied to Hexmapper Haven growing and its so frustrating because I can't do a thing about it. I made the Hexmapper_Haven_Redux group super easy to join and ported over the files and FAQs. Greg

Oh, by the way, Len Zaikowski joined the new group but has no immediate plan to re-write the old software. However he was pleasantly surprised that his software has a fan group after all this time. We're very grateful to Len for allowing us to continue to host his various applications as freeware.

Greg I believe that you can contact yahoo and when they find out the owner is no longer around they may delete the original one. Also you might check and see if you can send a mass email to all the member of the original site first and let them know about the new site. I would explore your options at the old site and then pursue letting Yahoo know show it can be deleted. I believe there are some other old sites where something similar has been done.

If someone wants to tackle Yahoo over the old group, it should be from within Hexmapper Haven and with the consent of the members there. Be aware that there have not been any new posts to the old group for some time. People are still lining up to try and join it though, but sadly they cannot be approved unless the owner returns. We miss Drowchick.
The members of the original Hexmapper Haven were very clear that they did not want the group to be deleted. That's fine, but it didn't solve the problem of access for new people wanting to use Hexmapper and share discussion etc.
So, rather than risk Yahoo's deletion of the group by tempting fate I started up Hexmapper Haven Redux with support from some of the members. We've got several mods. It's a practical, workable, solution.

Again if you are able to see the email of all the people requesting to join you might email them with the info on the redux site.

Oops! I'm sorry, I think I set the wrong tone there in my reply. I don't mean to offend you. No your quite right, I did e-mail the members of the group, and sent them invitations to Redux. But, I do have to go through the waiting list again.
