I have some large files I'd like to make available somewhere other than my home network. What are the pluses and minuses of the various file hosting sites like MediaFire and so on? I use S3 for my own stuff, but I don't want to pay any money to host and for bandwidth for these files.
Thanks!

I'm happy with MediaFire. As long as you log in once in a while ( I do monthly to be safe), the files won't go away. It's been good to me.

If you have a Google account, you can make any Google document available to the public. You can upload a PDF from your computer and share it.

I like MegaUpload. Anything that doesn't make it a pain or severely limit downloads for people who don't pay is a good one. Avoid RapidShare as they delete things fairly quickly if there hasn't been a download in a while. Check a site called FilesTube (it's a search engine for file hosting sites) to see a sampling of various sites you might investigate.
