My box maker agreed to increase my order again today, so I will have 50 Boxed Sets available for purchase on Wednesday, January 20 starting around 8:30AM Central Time. I know I sound like a broken record or some kind of con man, but I have been swamped with emails in the last two days from folks who haven’t been able to purchase a WB Boxed Set yet. In addition, I now have everything ready (dice, booklets, etc) to assemble and ship all the Boxed Sets that have already been ordered except the actual boxes, so I feel confident that adding a few more to the print run will not overburden me. I really do appreciate the attention and the business. The sales of these WhiteBox Boxed Sets will enable Brave Halfling Publishing to do a whole lot more for the Old-School community.

I'm amazed and very pleased at the chord this offering has struck with gamers. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project.

I'm amazed and very pleased at the chord this offering has struck with gamers. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project. Frankly, I'm stunned. From the start my S&W White Box has always been in the shadows of Mythmere's S&W Core Rules and now there's this sudden buzz and enthusiasm about the WB. Part of what makes this particularly special is that the rules (both sets, actually) have been out there as a free download for a year or so, and still we get so much excitement from folks who actually want to pay for the thing.

And the last set of 50 WhiteBox Boxed Sets are now available until the last one is sold. These are all still part of the 1st print run. bravehalflingpublishing.com/

How many left by noon? (I'll confess that part of me was hoping that they would sell out in 8 minutes, or some absurd time period. That would really have inflated my ego!) :-)

Still, 9 left after 1 day with the normal pricing...that's not too shabby. I'm sure those who REALLY REALLY wanted one got their orders in weeks ago. That there's still enough interest--especially on some larger forums outside of the OSR--is pretty cool.

8 left as of 9:42 PM Central time on January 21, 2010. We may have hit the limit. Still a mighty good run, though. I'm very happy with it. There will soon be 250 WB Boxed Sets out there in gamer land. That's about 175 more than I thought back on December 30, 2009.

Congratulations, Jonh! That is a good run on a OS product.
I failed to get my order placed again (doh!). Are you still doing the follow-up printing in the fall for the S&W: WB White Box? If so, I'll have to be quicker next time around.

I have to ask, since the lulu books and the box are apparently both 6 x 9, is the book going to fit in the box in case we want to slip it in there?

I have to ask, since the lulu books and the box are apparently both 6 x 9, is the book going to fit in the box in case we want to slip it in there? Sadly, no. I measured my proof copy today. But Verhaden's layout on this version is going to set the standard for a long time to come. I can't wait to have a 6" x 9" hardcover!

That's a shame, but I don't know if I'd get the new version in print anyways (other than the box/booklets). I already have a lot of hardcover RPG books.

Yeah, that is a shame. But don't fret. A few months ago I picked up some pristine copies of the 1st edition of AD&D off eBay for like $25. They were shipped in a box about 11" tall, 8.5" wide, and 4" deep. My copy of Munchkin fits in there just fine and so should WhiteBox.
It looks like a regular white shipping box. So you could have WhiteBox in a white box with another copy of WhiteBox in a bigger white box.
