Hey folks, The Third Print Edition of the Swords & Wizardry: WhiteBox RPG is ready and we are releasing a specially-priced Boxed Set for the holidays. Many gamers love to give these boxed sets as gifts, so I decided to lower the price to $25 - because I can! The softcover and hardcover, single-volume versions of WhiteBox will be available in December, 2010. This product can be found here: bravehalfling.com/?p=160
Fewer Rules, More Imagination!Prepare to be introduced to the old style of free form gaming! Swords & Wizardry: WhiteBox is inspired by the original 1974 fantasy role-playing game created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. These rules are flexible and open to interpretation - designed not to cover all conceivable situations, but to allow good Referees and Players the freedom to create and play games of their own design. This Boxed Set Contains everything you need to play: * 6" x 9" Game Box (This is an actual game box manufactured for just this purpose) * Four Rule Booklets (Characters, Spells, Monsters, & Treasures) * A digest-sized copy of Matt Finch's, "Quick Primer for Old-School Gaming" * Ten digest-sized Character Sheets * Set of Polyhedral Dice * Pencil The First 50 orders will also receive two complementary modules - "The Vile Worm of the Eldritch Oak" & "The Ruins of Ramat!" This item is in stock and will begin shipping Monday, November 29! All BHP products are shipped protected from moisture and in study packaging. Shipping to US - $5.00 (no matter how many boxed sets you order) Shipping to Canada - $5.00 (one) & $10 (two or more boxed sets) Shipping World-Wide - $12 (one) & $20 (two or more boxed sets)

Anyone still have a copy of the box set they don't use/want and looking to sell it? I know it's not supported anymore, but I'd be interested in picking up a version of the box set.

John posted he had a few available a few weeks ago.. Drop him an email and see if any still are. Just click on his sig link up above.
I'll agree that even though Matt added a few good bits into the free version that is now available, the BHP version has fantastic layout and design, plus the separate books make it easier to share with your players.

Thanks for the kind words. My three WB Boxed sets are gone now. Sorry.

I bought some extra sets because I was so thrilled to have my name on an RPG product. If I should decide to sell any I'll post something here before hitting e-bay or Noble Knight. Mine aren't the "special holidays set", however. Ironcially, I never bought one of those.

I would say the one Marv points too on ebay is one of the first 300 WB boxed sets BHP put out. It should be WB second printing. Looks like it does not have any extras, so it was probably one of them that I sent to some online retailers.

Whaaa! I almost had this but.... I threw the opening bid, expecting to lose it near the end, but my snipe got sniped, wonder how high the other guy was willing to go. ;/ Someday I'm going to get one of these. So far no luck, if you ever decide to sell one Marv I'm looking to buy one. -Mike

Wow. That one went for $58. Much better than at Noble Knight, which has one priced at $150. Someday I'm going to get one of these. So far no luck, if you ever decide to sell one Marv I'm looking to buy one. I'll put some thought into it, Mike. When the WB first came out I was so excited to have my name on an RPG product that I bought several, but I haven't really done much with them. Mostly sitting in a box on my shelf. As I don't really play S&W any more, some of the glamour has worn off for me.

I have one boxed set which includes: - The four rulebooks - The Quick Primer - The Vile Worm of the Eldritch Oak - The dice (with the original ziplock) - A pencil - and digest size graph paper.
Might be interested in selling it. The only things that have been used are the dice. I have found out that I am too obsessive about the physical condition of my games to really get some use out of a boxed set with paper booklets. I am too afraid of damaging them so I never did anything with them but let them rest of a shelf. Which I think is a shame for such a nice game and cool boxed set.

Which is why I love what BHP did with the X-plorers Box Set by offering a Referees Bundle with several copies of the Player's Guide to pass around. I'm hoping they will do the same with Delving Deeper when it comes out...

I finally got one and the first thing I did was scan off the covers and build a reading set from the PDF I had. You can hardly tell my read copies from the originals, except for the table of contents. I love the box, I can see why there would be some OCD about it. -Mike
