You get to choose any 5 of the first 6 Professional Skills for the class you choose. If you take an Adventurer I'll send you a copy of the Dragon 31 article with its writeup.

Shouldn't my damage bonus be +2? I get a +1 to damage for both dexterity and guile.

Choose one Group I skill. Fisherman. I'm assuming this is commercial fishing with boat and net and not just standing on the beach with a pole. Tsolei Adventurer. The Sa fish have run 18 times since she was born. I think I read that 16 is the average age of adulthood plus over a year as a sorcerer's captive student. Spearman Knows two modern languages. Assuming she already knows Tsolyani and Tsolei'i, how about Livyani and Hijajai? Control of self Knows two ancient languages. I actually think I've heard that name somewhere else before. It's just that when you fit it all togheter it's a mouthfull and a typing challenge.

Just a note, I need everyone to pick an age for their character as it is one of the components used to calculate the [Knowledge] roll. The older you are the more life experience you have.
For those not in the know the age of adulthood in Tekumel is 15-16. Life expectancy in the Five Empires is 43 years including childbirth death and newborn disease. In some minor states it might be around 35 years and in primitive tribal regions even less than that.
