I have played all version of D&D except OD&D. I got into OD&D in 2018/19 because of an interest to play it. Greyharp's SVE edition really locked it in for me. The first campaign was awesome! Until covid killed it. Since then, I have been down the OD&D rabbit hole. I had heard of Delving Deeper, but never really looked at it until very recently. I have had a desire to understand where OD&D came from and have studied the genesis of it to much delight.
And now I have discovered your annotated v5 book 1. Marvelous! What a wondrous work! Looking forward to more. This has lead me to download and start perusing the 3 volumes of v4. Eminently playable. I cannot wait to get a campaign going. All the rule tweaks I like have already been done in a well organized rule set.
Thanks for your hard work!

Greyharp's SVE edition really locked it in for me. Still the best Retro-Clone ever made. It is the gold standard. My own Retro-Clone I'm working on is highly inspired by it.

Still the best Retro-Clone ever made. It is the gold standard. My own Retro-Clone I'm working on is highly inspired by it. Someone who goes by FlacoAlto made an even better version of it. It is sublime! A true 8.5x5.5, formatted with 0,1, & 2e art, a very nice index, appendices, tighter tables, and better formatted monsters. Also made an expanded version, all Lulu hardback ready with several options for dust jackets.
In wanting a tighter OD&D that is legal, I think DD hits all the notes. Additions to it are considered against the background of Chainmail with brevity, and it is well organized to modern standards. Very approachable to newer players.

Agreed. Delving Deeper may very well be the most accurate legal Retro-Clone. I reference it all the time. I haven't seen FlacoAlto's version. So definitely do not PM me a link to it.

Thanks for the praise TDENMARK, although I have to correct you there. My effort wasn't a retro-clone but a simple reorganisation of the original material into a more modern format. However, I'm absolutely delighted it inspired you in your creation, that's wonderful to hear.

It's kind of its own thing.
