The kickstarter for the Basic Rules for the Majestic Fantasy RPG has entered its last hours. This kickstarter is to fund the cover art and editing of the Basic Rules for the Majestic Fantasy RPG. In addition I am offering a set of quick reference cards for character generation using these rules. The reward levels are $8 for both PDFs, and $12 for a at-cost (plus 50 cents) print coupon for DriveThruRPG that covers the book, and the quick reference cards. Basic Rules for the Majestic Fantasy RPG KickstarterPreview of the Table of ContentsGiven the number of excellent systems that have been published for the Old School Renaissance, what makes the Majestic Fantasy RPG different? During the Kickstarter I wrote a series of posts going through the rulebook and highlighting some of its elements. Recently I had a nice chat with long time friend, Brendan Davis. We talked about the kickstarter and gaming. Brendan is president of Bedrock Games, an independent publisher of RPGs. He specializes in publishing fantasy RPGs with settings inspired by different time periods and cultures outside of medieval western Europe. I have done maps for several of his products. www.bedrockgames.net/Bedrock Podcast Interview. Wrapping it up.I hope you decide to back this kickstarter during these last few hours. If not the both products will be available for sale on DriveThruRPG late this fall. Finally thanks to everybody who backed the kickstarter. It is great to have you all on board and your comments and suggestions have been appreciated and helpful.

I went in to back this, and ended up backing OpenQuest 3E and Into the Unknown Solo for S&W as well. Too many Kickstarters!

Somebody was having trouble with their iPhone so I made a link to a PDF. Hopefully that works for you. Appreciate your support and thanks for backing the kickstarter.

By the way, I've been reading through the "Majestic Fantasy RPG, Basic, Quick Reference Ver01" (not sure where I got them, actually), and found some typos/errors. Should I report them here or rest assured that I got an old version anyway?

Yes I would like any error reports on the quick reference cards. You can post them here.
I had an another KS backer report some errors as well. So once Emily finishes the editing, I will take your comments, Howard's comments, and the text from the final edits of the rules and update the cards.
Thanks!

Cool, so here's what I found so far:
1.) At first, the names "Ability Scores" and "Abilities" were rather confusing to me. Since there are Ability Score Bonuses and Ability Bonuses, that confusion lasted till I found the Abilities section and, knowing my OSR games, I found that Ability Bonuses are pretty much skills in other games. While you don't have to call them that, I'd vote for a more distinct name for either Ability Scores or Abilities.
2.) Burglars get 1d6-1 HP/level, but the quick reference doesn't say anything about a minimum - does it mean that unlucky burglars will not get any HP on a roll of 1? (I guess it's in the full rules, though?) (What's the "default" name for them, btw? On the first page they're first referred to as Rogues, later they are called burglars (rogues), then burglars. Again, I know my classes, but for newbies that might be distracting or confusing.)
3.) On the Magic-User's page (p.9), under Ability Progression on the left, there's the copy/pasted text of the cleric class.
That's all I can remember right now. Will update you in case I find some more.

4.) Page 1 says humans can earn +10% or +15% more XP, but the Background gives +15% and you get another +5% for 20% total if you have your prime req 13+
5.) Character sheet says "race" when reference says "background"
