Kicking down the door in 2020!
Happy New Year! The Classic D&D hiatus is about to come to a close (info below), but first, let's do a year in review for 2019.
What happened in 2019:
All and all, a good start. And again, it would not have happened without you. There are some changes for 2020, so read on.n
What's new in 2020:
With a few sessions behind us, a few adjustments are in order, here they are:
[*]We are still meeting at Brooklyn Game Lab. If you have not been in a while, there is a $5 door charge (the most reasonable in the city, next to free).
[*]We are classic now, not just original. Holmes, Moldvay, Cook, et al are now fair game. It is all essentially the same game.
[*]To promote the group and help DMs get a heads up of who is showing up, we will use Meetup. Games will be scheduled on the Manhattan Gamers Guild Meetup account. Please do RSVP there so we know who's showing up.
[/ul]
Upcoming adventures:
We will wrap up a couple of adventures started in 2019, then run a couple of new ones. After that, the plan, at this time, is to switch to more of a campaign.
[*]After we all die in make off with all of the treasure in the Tomb of Horrors, DM Ken will return with a Judges Guild classic adventure. The party found the big bad warlord and he sent them on a quest after giving them an offer they could not refuse. There is a talking fish amulet, a telepathic sword, a trail of dead PCs, and more adventure to come.
[*]DM Dan (the other Dan) has a homebrew dungeon he's been work on.
[*]I'll run a short dungeon delve based on a game report that helped get the LA sci-fi fandom hooked on D&D.
[/ul]
We have an open table policy, so come on down and join in any of the above.
