Probably not, because I usually play magic-users. And if not, I'm usually Neutral, unless someone's using the five-fold or nine-fold alignment system in their game, in which case, I'm usually Chaotic Good.
But if for some reason I'm playing a Lawful fighter, I'd check for traps and then... maybe? If I'm going full paladin, almost certainly. A lot depends on what Law and Chaos means so far in the campaign. A generally-Lawful fighter and a full-on-Lawful fighter are two different things. I might be more wary if I'm only generally-Lawful and so far, full-on Lawful encounters have not necessarily been simple and "pure". But if I'm a paladin... hell, those guys are all about quests. Aside from checking the table for traps, there's no reason not to.

If I'm a Lawful, 1st Level Fighting-Man, I draw it without question.

What’s with the bracket? Any reason it can't be unfastened from the table? I have no use for a lawful blade, but if I could get the sword out of here without drawing it forth from the bracket, it seems like I should be able to sell it for a pretty penny.

A really fun question. I'm with owlorbs. My low level lawful fighter draws it for sure. Also, I'd draw it for sure if my lawful fighter's wisdom score is pretty low for his being inclined to take golden bejeweled swords he just met at their word.

if my lawful fighter's wisdom score is pretty low I find that my actual wisdom is always much lower than my character's score, whatever it may be. Hence, I'm a Dungeon Master.

A wise choice...

Judging from my current players, there would be almost no way to restrain them from running and grabbing that sword.

Judging from my current players, there would be almost no way to restrain them from running and grabbing that sword. My solution is simply to say it gives them "a vibe." That's made my players abnormally cautious, even when it doesn't mean much.
