I always found depictions of St. George and the Dragon as being unintentionally amusing. If anything, I feel sorry for da cutesy-wootzy itsy-bitsy dragon being picked on by that big, bad, mean knight.  For all we know that little dragon may have 50 HD! |

I always found depictions of St. George and the Dragon as being unintentionally amusing. Well, medieval art is hierarchic rather than naturalistic. The most significant figure is always larger than other figures, regardless of their placement in the scene. |

In a way it is like ancient Egyptian art, as I learned from my undergrad days. |
