I have worked on a first draft of a Monster Reference Table, which lists Vol 2 M&T creatures only, though with reference to Greyhawk. Here is the table: www.dropbox.com/s/e1k7k7c1puqiea1/MONSTER%20REFERENCE%20TABLE%20M%26T%202.pdf?dl=0As I worked on the table, I found that there were a couple of gaps that needed filling, so for those gaps I did refer to the Monster Manual for more information (only). For example, the Rocs and Treants entries. Also, I have personally calculated the XP values based on the table in Greyhawk, without reference to other sources. In doing so, I made some judgment calls on what creatures have special abilities and which ones have special abilities at regular or double value, so opinions may vary. In going through this exercise, I found that the Greyhawk experience table would give some monsters falling in the 9-10, 11-12, and 12-13 XP value categories the same experience value, even though the monsters themselves may vary in power/toughness. So I have worked on a variant to the GH XP table to smooth out the XP values a bit. This new table is included at the end of the tables. Your thoughts, comments, and suggestions are most welcome. EDIT: I have updated the table to include some corrections; added special abilities; added thouls and giant hogs. By necessity, undead and lycanthropes were moved to the final page to accommodate the new information. EDIT AGAIN: I have updated the entries for Skeletons and Zombies to show them having 1 HD and 2 HD (also updated their XP entries): www.dropbox.com/s/rti5cc6wbwzrer8/MONSTER%20REFERENCE%20TABLE%20M%26T%201.pdf?dl=0

Very nice (downloaded for future reference). I must protest, however - there is no "Chance to Not Tell the Truth" column...

Nice work. I like how you broke down the Chimera, Hydras and Balrogs to separate lines. You could also add in some of the humanoid leader types. It's limited in OD&D versus later editions, but Hobgoblin leaders fight as Ogres and Gnoll leaders fight as Trolls.
Another consideration: you don't list any special characteristics, such as Merman fighting at -1 on land, Troll regneration etc. Without this information, the DM will still need to consult the rulebook during a game.

Thanks for your suggestions. This first go round was just to combine the information contained in the M&T and Greyhawk tables along with the XP column, but I will see what I can do. . .
