I will have soon I think the case of a PC party holding a door against a group of 2 Hit Dice monsters (they don't have a Magic-User with a Hold Portal spell nor spikes to wedge the door).
I was thinking of rolling one six-sider by Hit Dice multiplied by the number of monsters againt one dice per member of the party holding the door (they are all men-sized) plus streghth modifiers (+1 for every Strength score above 15).
Any ideas or suggestions ?

Unless the monsters are depicted as particularly strong (perhaps cavemen?) or are quadrupeds, just roll 1d6 per guy. On the PC side, you can add a +1 for any exceptional strength guys. It doesn't have to be complicated.

Another option is to roll "open doors" checks for everyone involved in barring/forcing the door (+1 to the roll for high Strength maybe). The party with the most successes "wins". I'd limit the action to three medium sized participants per side of the door.
