The biggest challenge I've faced with this so far, and I recall seeing some suggestions in another thread a few days ago, is the 1:20 mass combat rules. I personally feel that most of the monsters would fight as a Horse type unit which would make many of them greatly over powered compared to the men who are on foot. Any suggestions as to a system that I could use to determine the Troop Types for the 1:20 rules?
Thanks, -Jebuh214

The fantasy supplement already provides guidelines as to how most of the fantasy monsters should be treated in normal combat. I.e., TROLLS have melee capability of six heavy foot, AIR ELEMENTALS are impervious to normal weapons but attack as four light horse (adding 2 in aerial combat), BASILISKS defend as do LYCANTHROPES (as four heavy foot) and turn enemy to stone but do not otherwise attack, and so on.
Are there specific monsters that you are having trouble with?

In general, a two-legged monster will fight as a number of men equal to its hit dice, the type of man determined by the referee's estimation of its offensive and defensive capabilities. A four-legged monster will similarly fight as a number of horse.
