Nice little write up jacar. I didn't know you had a blog. I'll have to put it in my bookmarked sites. Did your test run reveal anything that you want to change? Reading your post, I was curious how you handled the cavalry charge. In CM, you must continue movement, after the charge, at normal speed on the following turn. Do you use this rule with Reforged? Also, were you happy with how the Post Morale system worked out?

The maneuvering rules work well. I have been using them in other games for several years now. They are basically what are used in Neal Thomas' "Ancient and Medieval Wargaming." I kept the continued movement thing up to the maximum charge move for that turn. That was a no brainer and I think is at the heart of the game. The post melee morale system worked pretty well. The real proof will be how it works with fantasy figures. A Wizard, for example, adds his morale factor to the total. Should that be after multiplying by the die roll or before? I think after otherwise most mundane troops will consistently run/surrender to enemy character types!
