So who has seen This magazine and adventure? Thoughts, Comments? I just got my copy today. A quick perusal of this adventure has made me think of MA in a new light. I'll reserve my comments until I read it thoroughly and see what everyone has to say.

I think it is outstanding. If you've read James Ward's Dark Outpost, you would already be familiar with his style. It is similar to that found in his 'They All Died...' Refreshing. I like that he has included some of the rules within the module so that one may not necessarily need access to the 4th edition core book.

Sorry for the delay, been a bit busy. The adventure ,to me, was a bit disappointing. Its nice to see the game getting some love, but it was nothing to due with classic MA. It did get me thinking of how to tweak the game for other uses. As a MA adventure on the lost colony ship I felt it lacking. Plus he really loves to rip PC into small pieces. LOL.

I have to agree, it isn't set on the classic Warden of 1976 and if you are expecting a classic-style adventure then I can understand how you'd feel. Not so sure about Jim loving to shred PCs. I know he does enjoy giving them enough rope to hang themselves if they aren't thinking though This adventure works well with MA4e, as does Jim's Dark Outpost adventure. This adventure would work well with a wide range of sci-fi games, but (being somewhat biassed), I think it would work best with the new edition of MA4e as a "short" session to teach players the rules. If you were to run this adventure as a primer, and then take the surviving PCs and let them start the game in Phase 4 - after the disaster - I think that would work a treat. Craig J. Brain

I was kinda expecting a classic Warden adventure. I was hoping it would be for 1st ed also, as that is my only version of the game I have. Shred might be a bit strong, I like yours better. Plenty of rope there. One thing the module did for me was open my eyes on how much you could tweak it, even 1st ed, to cover more than the Warden. I might push my beloved Classic Traveller to the back burner. Might.

If it is not 1st Edition or "revised 1st" ... = I have to admit, I was surprised to see discussion of the adventure on this board. The adventure seems to fit with the expectations of MA4e players better than MA1e players. Craig J. Brain
