I help a lot with BHP, editing, Writing for X-plorers, and some other stuff.

Derv asked me to post X-plorers updates here for those who aren't in the Google+ community and don't want to join it, so I will.

That said, if you didn't know about the Google+ community, it's here.  I think through no one's fault or design, the old Yahoo group seems to be petering out and is plagued by spambots. (hmmm... Spambot might be a good NPC at an moonbase diner... I digress)

In terms of news: Prometheus Rising setting conversion is happening still, but to my knowledge, John is focusing on completing DD and Kickstarter shipments for the Appendix N KS, which may dominate the rest of the year.

Since I've managed to publish a game myself (see "some other stuff," above) we've decided that I'll now self-publish the adventure modules I've written for X-plorers, so that they can be released before years end (hopefully). You heard it here first.

The first will be The Deadly Dawn, and I hope to get Wreck Tech ready in short order as well. A larger, more sandboxy, arguably-a-setting adventure toolkit thing I'm working on called "Letter of Marque" is in the works too, but it's a big project and I'm thinking 2014.

So I will endeavor to follow along and post here more to help support X-plorers!

Surprisingly good short order cook, but with one irritating programming flaw: Whenever Spambot utters the word 'Spam' there is a 1 in 6 chance that he will repeat the word 3d6 times before being able to proceed. Rarely a large difficulty, this flaw was responsible for 2 fatalities and several injuries (some quite serious) back in the Space Truckers' Strike of '35.

Staff programmer Kenny (last name redacted to preserve privacy/avoid violence) claims he's done everything to remove the flaw, but so far has been unsuccessful. He and his mates can be identified by the large, horned helmets they wear. It has become a tradition with them to chant along with Spambot whenever his affliction crops up. Attempts to parlay this into a 'quaint local custom' have thus far gone to naught.


Sorry to derail the thread, but I felt the need to express this.

Also, thanks for the good news that X-plorers isn't dead! I have the first printing, and I like it a lot. Great links, too!

There are plans afoot to resurrect Galactic Troubleshooters too!

as articles are finished, BHP will be releasing them as pdfs for immediate enjoyment.

After I finish the first supplement for Yarr, I am doing two adventures for X-plorers... I hope to publish them by year's end, before holiday shopping season... can't promise it, but I'm hoping.
