Okay, just finished reading the LotFP book, and I know that Carcosa is a city on a planet orbiting a star in the Hyades cluster, but I guess what I'm confused about is it also the name of the planet?
I keep reading players refer to the characters as 'carcosians,' but I'm sure they're not referring to denizens of the abandoned city.

Carcosa is the name of the city, and it has also been transferred to the name of the planet. In the same way, "Greyhawk" is the name of the city, but the planet it is on is often called "the World of Greyhawk". "Blackmoor" is the name of the town, but the entire setting is often referred to as "Blackmoor".
I doubt that the inhabitants of the planet of Carcosa think of their planet as being named "Carcosa". I imagine they just think of it as "the world".

That makes sense. Great book, btw. Thinking about running it with my group.
