I support the current policy. I see no reason to rush the pdfs out and I would love to see as many of the print version printed as possible.

There's an interesting new wrinkle here.
Lulu does not include covers with its PDF download purchases.
So, I'm tempted to upload a separate file with the released PDF when the time comes, so that people who buy the PDF can get the 'real' magazine.
But, I'm also tempted to just do it all at once at the beginning, with the understanding that if you want our cool cover the only way to get it is via the print version.
#2 simplifies a lot of headaches and still favors print, but the one thing that makes me unsure about it is that the cover makes the magazine better, and I want to minimize the number of people who buy it and react negatively.

I wouldn't go the no cover route, if you can avoid it. It would be a HUGE turn off, I'd think.

Yeah, I don't want to sell people a lamified product.
The only thing that sucks is that then I'll need a separate product page for the PDF. Which is more work, phooey.
The other alternative is to have a thank you note telling people that if they bought the PDF they can email me for a separate PDF of the cover. Which, I still don't like as much. But coordinating sales is going to be hell-acious if I have to do two separate products, one a PDF only and one a print only.
Urg. This is now a minor hassle.

Yep, I just checked, other credible RPG publishers on lulu have separate print and electronic versions, probably just for this reason. So, I'll get Ignatius to make one up and send it in.

Urg. This is now a minor hassle. Set up with another vendor for pdf-only sales.

I just bought the pdf of Fight On! It cost £1.65, since I live in the UK the print version, including postage, would have cost me £6.81 and taken a while to get here. So I am very happy to have the pdf, cover or no cover!
But I do support the idea of haveing a one month gap between print and pdf version.
