So besides the Balrog there were no demons/devils introduced until later supplements. With this in mind for those of you that use little to no supplements how do you use them in your game. I like the idea of max AC being 2. It wasn't until the supplements that we see the introduction of negative AC. I'm running my game as an OD&D via delving deeper and as much as I like them as foes in a game I"m trying to decide what to do with them AC wise. I'd like to hear the boards thoughts on how they might handle it. Say for the type 2 demon it has an AC of -2, from what I understand Arneson's take would be you need a +2 weapon to hit it which sounds good this could cap AC's fro supernatural creatures. I'd run it as -2 AC (2 AC if a +2 weapon is available). This would make a demon impervious to non magical weapons unless I devised other methods to hit it. So how do you handle it?

I did a series of posts a long time ago more or less based on the same ideas you had: I didn't want ACs better than AC 2. I also wanted to pare down the power lists by bundling powers. 9and30kingdoms.blogspot.com/search/label/infernalThat includes demons, devils, hags, and my de-IPed versions of daemons and slaadi.

Not having an AC of 1, at least in the hypothetical, seems kind of odd to me.
On the other hand trimming down planar critters floats my boat, cosmology always gives me the world-building yips.
