I really enjoyed the Blueholme rules. I look forward to a dungeon with some of those rules in mind.

Thanks! But a lot of the work was really by xerxes. I've had a few people point out some errata, so I'll be updating the file soon. Then it's seriously knuckling down to the Compleat Rules - I have an artist with a window in his schedule in 2 months' time ...

Vile, I saw your work only yesterday (been busy) and major Exalts!
You put a very elegant finished product and the changes you made to the Maze vastly improved it...I would say what you did was a lot for work and it came out excellent.
I appreciate you!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, xerxes (and sorry for not getting around to notifying you in person - remiss of me, the current excitement notwithstanding)! I really didn't do that much other than change the layout and some of the monsters, though, so I think most of the credit is yours. From the reviews it seems a lot of people really appreciate your ideas and the details you put in.

Hey guys,
Ok so I finally got a chance to read this module. First, let me say that it is really great and I really look forward to running it!
Second, I'm wondering what about it makes it "Holmes"? I played most of my D&D during the 2nd edition and then in the 3rd edition.
Only in the last 6 months or so have I really switched over to OD&D and B/X and BECMI. Having never read Holmes I think my first exposure to anything it was BLUEHOLME. I can tell there is a difference in the rules but I can't read a module and say "Holmes inspired"
I think the traps and the d6 search mechanic are different from Basic but not from what I use in Delving Deeper.
Would you guys mind pointing out the stuff in this Module that is Holmes inspired?

Lots of empty rooms. And remember to use the reaction tables - those goblins would make good allies down there, especially if you decided to "delve deeper" into the troglodyte caves ...

As I mentioned in the Prentice Rules thread, I'm updating the PDFs to the "second printing". Once the rules are done, the Maze of Nuromen will follow, and I will then try to figure out how to make both books available as print-on-demand. Even better, xerxes and I have come to an arrangement that will allow me to publish the whole Mazes of the Jennerak trilogy! I can't wait.

The edit of MoN will see the return of some of the character and location names from xerxes's original. There will also be a little more information of the surroundings, as the maze is now firmly located within the Known World of BLUEHOLME™. Although it's not really that well-known. But you know what I mean.

To update you on some of the major changes to the soon-to-be-re-released module: - First, the name. You may have noticed a tendency to alliterate, and this is happening in the adventures, too. So the module will now be known as The Necropolis of Nuromen.
- A map and description of the general area including the Elfway, the Delvingwood, and the two nearest cities.
- A map of Camlann Market, with description and prominent persons.
- A link scenario to take the characters from The Necropolis of Nuromen to the next adventure in the triology, The Catacombs of Kravekos.
The new module will have 16 pages, 4 more than the first printing. I will keep this PDF only until Easter or so because I want to catch any errata arising from the new stuff and the reformatting, then I will make it available in PoD to everyone except xerxes (you get your free copies, sir!).

Magnificent news. I've already played the module when it sat on Xerxes website and it went down a treat with my crew. I'll definitely snap up the updated Necropolis to take advantage of the tasty new content. Thanks!

Another WIP for the upcoming transformation of the Maze of Nuromen into the Necropolis of Nuromen. Spoilers below! This time it's a cave complex in the Delvingwood that doubles as both a bandit hideout and an owlbear lair.

For my money, you just can't stuff enough owlbears into an adventure.

Work in progress - the last bit of work on The Necropolis of Nuromen. Camlann Castle has changed a bit since you last saw it - while I was quite happy with the Camlann Market map, but it was simply just too medieval. The Known World of BLUEHOLME™, like the implied setting of OD&D, is just not that safe or civilised so such unfortified villages as the one in my previous maps are simply not feasible in such an outpost of The Realm surrounded by Wilderness. Also, because The Realm is a bastion of Law, layouts tend to be rather geometric. Woman and Man imposing their will on Wilderness, that sort of thing.

Vile, you have a way with maps sir! Very nice. I can not wait to get this and the Compleat Rules. I bought a second copy of the Prentice rules just to have a nice spare and one to take table top. Thanks again for all the hard work. Xerez thanks for the original go around! Cheers

Vile--I am extremely pleased with this. I'm sorry I haven't been more communicative but I love the PDF. You have done a very good job and I'm very thrilled with the look and feel as well as the way you added new material and names and tied so many loose threads together. I love the Blueholme world.
When will the paper edition be available? Because as soon as I have a copy in my hands I'm taking these down to the local game stores and going to see if they will carry them. I will be using Blueholme in the near future to run some games for kids in my Rysanthis setting. At the moment we are roleplaying Avatar the Last Airbender...

I was hoping to hear some errata trickling in before pressing the Lulu button, but so far it's been deafeningly quiet. I guess Spellcheck really works! I will probably get around to prepping the files for Lulu one of these days, in-between editing the Compleat Rules text as the proofreader comments come in. It's all go here at Dreamscape Design!

Vile my apologies. Recently married and bought a house, so very busy busy busy. I will pull that up again tonight and re read it carefully and take notes. Any errata will be in your inbox by the following week. Thanks.
